Not sure if a bug or outdated text, but the Statecraft Finisher says I can buy Great Diplomats with faith starting in the Industrial Era. However, the option to buy them doesn't appear in the purchase list. Other great person types do appear however (ones I've unlocked with other Policy Branches). I don't recall ever being able to buy Great Diplomats in any of my recent games so it's possible that this is indeed an outdated text. Can anyone confirm?
 
Version 1.2.13.1b

After barbarian took a city state. Save the game and exit. Then launch the game and load. The name label of the barbarian city disappears.

Hi,

I posted a few pages back about my game crashing to desktop to which Gazebo said the mod breaks in disassembly (meaning it was a lua error) and suggested I get rid of IGE to see what happens. I did, and the game still crashed, although I got kind of busy for a while so I haven't picked it back up for a bit.

I looked into the lua logs today though and saw some errors and I'm not sure what they mean (attached in pic below). Can someone explain to me exactly what they mean and how to fix it? I think that is what is causing the crash, not IGE.

Btw, if I open it in Notepad++ it shows this on line 788, if it helps for a quick look:
local pCargoFlag = g_MasterList[ pPlotUnit:GetOwner() ][ pPlotUnit:GetID() ];

That's the problem though...this happens on a completely new installation of Windows 10 so I know there are no other mods (besides this + IGE). That might have been the case the first time (since I did have others), but not this time. I made sure of that by unsubbing from any mods before I reformatted so none carried over when I reinstalled vanilla from steam.

Which is what confuses me :/

To make sure if the Community Patch is not at fault here. Begin playing any game without any mods.

It is a pain to reproduce because the times it happens are extremely random. It could be turn 200...or turn 1,084 but it does happen every game at some point when the patch is active. I assume the lua logs all have similar errors, but I never looked before now.

I did try a vanilla game with absolutely nothing extra except the dlc for a test...turn 1,200 and counting without a problem.

It's a mystery to me because, as I said, this is a clean install of Windows and there isn't much to interfere with this T_T
 
Just took the "God of the Open Sky" pantheon because my city is surrounded by plains/grasslands but there doesn't appear to be any faith generated by them.

As you can see according to the CityView the only faith I have is from the Stonehenge and the Shrine.
Shouldn't I be getting at least +2 for the three, about to be four, worked pastures?

EDIT:
Not sure when, but a few turns later I checked the faith output again and this time it was showing up.
This leads me to ask: is there a delay to when the Lua/dll takes into account the yield before displaying it?

I installed a community balance mod and the patch required to play. When I decided that it changed the game format I thought I should get rid of the Mod. For some reason now every time I start a game or enter a game the information at the top of the screen (your gold count, science, culture, tourism etc) is in a different order and a bit jumbled. As well as when I click on a unit it doesn't show the experience, or as a city I cannot build the city because there is no ability to manually click the build city option. I have now found out that even when I build my city by pressing the short cut it asks me to build the production in the city but I cannot select an option for anything thus meaning I cannot do anything in the game. I have restored my computer, un installed the game, deleted any mod files, deleted the mods in the game but there doesn't seem to be any way of fixing this problem

Are you getting confused between pastures and plains? The way I read it the +2 faith is for working a pasture, but you don't have any. You are working three plains/grassland tiles so should get +1 culture (soon to be +2 when you work your fourth plains/grassland tile).

Nope, that city was working 3 pastures with a 4th about to finish so it should have, at the very least been giving me +2 faith.

There must be a timing delay between the pantheon effects kicking in and the tooltip showing the yield.


My mistake, you are correct, I was thinking farms were pastures. :hammer2:
 
Even though I have all the mods enabled, the EUI is the only thing that is working. At the menu I don't get the changes to the leaders. In the game I get odd things happen. There's an overlap between some aspects of the mod and the base game. For example, when I'm unhappy I get the production (etc) diminishment from the base game, but I also get the diminishment from the mod where I get a -#% production (etc). Being unhappy in my empire isn't that great :mad: Honor also stays the same instead of becoming Might for example. So does anyone have any advice? I'm not super great with this modding stuff so any help is appreciated :)
 
In response to my last post, I followed one of multiple guides on the installation process. I noticed that there are two Civ games in different locations. One under Steam, and one in another folder as the guy in the manual had. I was just looking through a forum post and they said to have the EUI in the steam folder. So at the moment I have the DLC in the non-steam folder, and the MODS in the Steam folder. Can anyone share a manual that is 100% in the installation process? I keep seeing conflicting posts. If I reinstall the whole thing over again, will I have to clean up any residual files? Thanks you so much :)
 
I NEED HELP. Is there a way to set my game totally vanilla? I installed this mod and it was glitched. So I uninstalled it and I went to single player and started a new game and the interface was still there except it wasn't... It wasn't complete nothing was showing up. I reinstalled the game 2 times as well as clearing my cache and everything.

Okay man I shuffled around with a bit of stuff, completely removed everything to do with mods, but nothing worked. I was about to just reinstall the whole game when I viewed the integrity of the game cache, it did a little update but needless to say it's working now.
 
I don't have a file in dlc
That is named that.

Sorry, should be UI_bc1.

If you don't have that, and you've removed all files from your MODS folder (in your documents/games/civ 5/MODS location), then try verifying the integrity of your game in steam and then clear your cache.

I'm having issues with anything clickable. I get no menu at the bottom left and I can't see cities names. It's just all blank.

EDIT: Sorry I should mention, I'm using the latest version of the auto installer with EUI. I used the previous version with no issues.

I'm using only CPP with no other mods installed. Of the mods I'm only not using the AI one as it crashes to desktop. When I load into the game, at the point the narrators starts, the whole backdrop of the civ appears to be shifted to the left and rather than the "begin your journey" button moving to the centre it stays in the far right, at which point it is still clickable.
