03/01 Build:

So far I am liking the changes. The monopoly buffs are an interesting addition, and the unhappiness issue isn't as bad as before. Still somewhat of a struggle (immortal - marathon - end of ren age). More testing is required. I am hovering between -3 & +14 happiness. About 85.%+ in the positive in happiness, which is a much better system than before where it was 60%+ in the negative.

Some minor issues, not game breaking:

- Defensive Pacts (DP): Nice addition, although some issues.
In the mid game all the AI were friendly with me except Arabia. I didn't check Infoaddict and declared war on Arabia. Little did I know, all the AIs also had DPs with Arabia and they all declared war on me, giving them the backstab trait towards me.

- When making a DP the tool tip (shield icon) says 22 turns (which I think it is). However, the actual EUI tool tip info on the civ says the DP is 91 turns. Same issue for Friendly civs. The flower and tool tip info doesn't match up. I think the flower says 90 turns (marathon), while the writing in EUI says something like 135 turns (which it is). This is not a new issue, it's been this way for ages.

Glad you are enjoying it - the monopolies aren't a huge change, but it is a fun little 'side quest' to work towards (gaining monopolies).

The DOW popup should say if the AI has defensive pacts with other players - be careful about DOW'ing a civ if you see that! :)

Regarding the latter issue, I'm not sure what needs to be fixed - is it displaying too long of a duration or too short of one? You shuld probably report to bc1.

I DOW-ed Arabian and never got that pop up (might not have been paying attention). All the civs declared war on me and I lost about 7 research agreements too. I was like WTH is going on, and then figured it out.


oh, there is an issue I forgot to report:

Other civ workers can build roads in your territory. India decided to connect their cities through my territory, which also means I am paying for more infrastructure (roads) then I should be. Not sure if it's an old issue, just never seen this before. They are now building railroads through my territory...grr.

Fix: No not allow npcs to build stuff in your territory except archaeologists.
 
Feb27 build:

Bug - Cannot assign policy. The policy window no longer pops up. Last taken actions were adopting Autocracy (Futurism + Citadel Tile Acquisition) and using a Great General a couple turns later. Citadel Tiles interacted with Liberty granting me enough Culture for a new policy, however now the policy window no longer opens. It stops me from ending turn.

Using the 01/03 build now. Also EUI. Have it narrowed down a bit:

While in Modern Era, if my Religion has Ceremonial Burial and I expend Great People (e.g. bulbing Scientists, planting Generals) and the Culture Gain pushes me over the next policy threshold, the Policy/Ideology window buggs out and no longer opens at all. Persists through reloads of the safefile.

I think I see the bug - it has to do with war weariness causing unhappiness to be below zero, but there is no ideology preference. Try dropping this file into your CBP/Lua/Active/Standard CBP folder, overwriting the current file. If it works or doesn't work, let me know.

Theming bonuses don't seem to be getting applied.

I have 5 World Wonders (+10 tourism) and 3 Great Works (+6). That theming bonus isn't being counted at all.
 
I have two issues with the latest version of CPP (3/1):

  • A peace deal in which an AI offers you an amount of Gold will not be credited to your treasury.
    I was at war with russia when they offered me a peace deal plus 200 Gold or so, after I accepted the deal my amount of Gold did not change. This was already an issue in version 2/3.
  • I stumbled over this description here. It says that I need a Well for the Water Mill, but this City has no Water Mill even if the City is next to a river..

That may be a bug in EUI, as the Well and the Water Mill are actually exclusive buildings (i.e. if you have one you can't have the other).

Hmm...I'll look. You have the policy that grants tourism from WWs, yes?

Bug is still there, sadly.

I'll fix it and post a better lua later.

Yes, there's where +10 of my tourism comes from (I have all of Aesthetics filled out). However, I haven't been getting a theming bonus neither before or after the bonus was doubled by the relevant policy.

As I mentioned I started a new game and I am currently at war with Hungary. I made a save just before he offers me a peace deal with 208 Gold. For testing purpose I accepted and my treasury didn't change.

There are two things which I think could be a bug:

  • Border expansion continues beyond my border. I never saw this. I always thought that other civ's will stop their expansion at your border and don't continue right behind her.

  • Happyness seems a bit weird to me, it should be 0 not -1, furthermore the -1 is green :eek: I don't know how this happened.

The first is normal, and the second will go away if you click a city (is a refresh artifact in the lua - happens sometimes).

Yep. It should be 10%, though, so the tooltip is wrong (not the XML).
 
...Really? Why? I figured it was supposed to be 15% to match asceticism's 15% food. All the others come in pairs. Thrift and scholarship cap at 10% gold / science while inspiration and veneration cap at 5 culture / faith.
