okej. going trou the fase of learning how things works i just noticed that if you go to the "Civopedia" when you are still in the setting mode before starting a game your game freze and you cant really do anything but to close the game and restart.

Yes, this is a known bug with EUI, unfortunately it cannot be fixed for some reason. But once in the game, Civilopedia should work fine. Also do not restart the map (you have to quit to the main menu), it can break the game because DLL and Lua mods do not like reloading/restarting - this also why the load button was removed from the ingame menu.

As to how you recognize CBP is active, apart from the missing load button, you will see your warrior will have a different promotions to choose from once it levels up, the social policies will be very different, science tree will be also a bit different and once your capital grows a little, you should be seeing local city unhappiness breakdown (such as crime, boredom, poverty, illiteracy) when you mouse-hover over the city banner.

I'm just going to disable the leader screen civilopedia stuff for CBP's EUI. Is annoying.

As of 10-28, Byzantium can pick the same pantheon as you (after you picked it) and it denies you of founding your own religion: When founding a religion, you get notified that your belief (the pantheon) has already been chosen. This also jams the game if you popped your prophet for religion.

Really? I tested that and moved through it no problem. Any other mods being used?

Using R.E.D modpack (new models for units) and Custom Advanced Setup Screen for 2 player hotseat games (not sure if the mod is designed for this but it works)

Edit: btw I was playing the new India myself if it matters

That shouldn't matter. I wonder if there's something in the 'hasbelief' code at the player level causing your issue (I was mainly focused on testing the religionclass area).

I'll take a look at the code later this evening and see what I can do. It shouldn't break your save, so hold onto it until I issue a fix.

Thanks for the report!

Not sure if you saw this Gazebo -- it was the last post on the previous page:
India's specialists give +1 food (as I saw you discussing earlier), but this isn't mentioned in the UA. I had assumed that you had ditched that in favor of the +Growth from religios followers.

When a player lost its capital the looser is indicated as nammed if known or unmet else but the conqueror name appears always even if it is unmet.

If you build a pioneer and the turn it builds your unhappiness is -10 or lower, does it just eat the pioneer? Last turn in my game, this appeared to happen in three different cities simultaneously, which seems *incredibly* harsh as it had been as good as just -6 and -7 on each of the surrounding turns - just -11 during the AI/beginning of turn.

Please say this is a bug and not intended behavior.

Running just the full EUI install and the new Halloween mod ('cos :), playing as the Halloweenies.

Happened to you? It shouldn't.

EDIT: Oh, barnacles. It turns out that none of the balance changes are in effect in my games. I figure the problem is I don't have all the "leader" DLCs (didn't know what exactly that meant). I assume that means the following DLCs?
--Mongolia civilization and related scenario (free DLC)
--Babylon (1 civilization)
--Double Civilization and Scenario Pack: Spain and Inca (2 civilizations, 1 scenario)
--Polynesia (1 civilization and 1 scenario)
--Denmark (1 civilization and 1 scenario)
--Civilization and Scenario pack: Korea (1 civilization and 1 scenario)

Hotfix uploaded for CP, CBP and compatibility files. Fixes a compiler error and two small oversights. Should be savegame compatible, though clear your cache. If your save game crashes with the new CBP, use the previous CBP with this version of the CP and you should be good to go.

Hi,

I just tried out the full CBP mod today for the first time. I downloaded the latest hotfix CPP.exe file (EUI version) that was posted ~4.5 hours ago, installed it, then deleted all the files in my ".../Sid Meier's Civilization 5/cache" directory. Then I ran Civ V and enabled these mods only:

Community Patch (v. 67) [(10-29-1)]
More Luxuries (v. 155)
Community balance Patch (v. 13) [(10-29-1)]
City-State Diplomacy Mod for CBP (6-19) (v. 27)
Civ IV Diplomatic Features - CBP Edition (6/19) (v. 10)
Community Balance Patch - Compatibility Files (EUI) (v. 1) [(EUI Version) (10-29-1)]

I'm having one issue with the in-game interface: many of the mouse-hover tooltips are showing a lua function call error message instead of the tooltip data. So far, the tooltips I've seen that are affected are ones for all of the buildings and wonders (but unit tooltips work fine), and most of the city-view per-turn incomes (i.e. food, gold, faith, culture, etc. ...except the tourism one is fine).

There's what it says for the bugged tooltips for the buildings listed as production options:
"
Assets\DLC\UI_bc1\Core\EUI_tooltips.lua:90
6: attempt to call method
'GetBuildingInvestment' (a nil value)
"

Other bugged tooltips have the same format, but have different code line numbers and different 'Get...' method names.

I tried playing a hotseat game over Giant Multiplayer Robot with the same mod setup and my friend, who also just downloaded and set up this mod pack the same time as me, is having the same UI issue. However, I also tried it in a single player game now and I still have the same bug there.

Any clue on this one?

(Sorry if this is already a known/solved bug, I couldn't see how to search this thread here...)

Thanks for the awesome Civ mod!

I have only been playing with this modpack for a few days and i only use the standard BP with EUI and InfoAddict.

The first bug I encountered was Denmark settling a city 2 tiles from their capital while I was at war with them. Recent changes were even supposed to increase the settling limit to 4 tiles away from another city.
Here is a screenshot:

Another issue I encountered was Napoleon offering me a ridiculous amount of gold per turn for 5 Iron

That city is on another continent, and cities on other continets can be however close to other cities as they want, not a bug.

That ridiculous amount of gold isn't really that ridiculous(depending on era), I've payed a lot more than that for iron to be able to get cannons up. Iron is so extremely essential for warfare.

Did you test the new version of the CP? Should've fixed your religion bug.

Alas, it just happened again, and unless there was a flicker up and down that happened so fast I didn't notice, it was at unhappiness -9. I've now lost at least half a dozen pioneers this game, and it's getting to my serenity, damnit. If I wasn't playing a couple difficulties down just to have fun with the Halloween mod, I'd have rage quit by now.

Yes, it was fixed. Also my old save game still works (maybe because I didn't have any specialists at the time). Thanks for the quick fix :)

Hello,
So yesterday I downloaded CPP( version with EUI ), install via manual and enabled in mods menu.
Played about 180 turns and saved. This morning I tried to load that save but everytime I try to load it I get Runtime Error!
Game Details: Civ: The Inca
Map: Highlands
Pace: Epic
Difficulty: Emperor
Size: Small
Thanks for any help!

The game crashes to desktop when offering peace + capitulation to Genghis Khan. This is reproducable. If I load the game and offer blank peace, it does not crash.

I use only the following mods:
  • Community Patch Project Full (EUI Version) 10-21
  • Thal's/Barras' Unit Flag Promotions
  • InfoAddict v22
  • Tectonic Map Script v4

The log files and the save game file are attached. If the crash was fixed already or you need more information, let me know.
The minidump file is empty.
