I noticed something odd with the AI opinion system:
a) The AI was valuing territory really far from their capital as "near" them. I built my second city a solid 8 tiles from my capital, which itself was at least another 7 tiles from the closest roman city, and at least 10 tiles from the roman capital. All told the second city must have been near to 20+ tiles away from the roman capital, but they immediately sent me a message saying "stop settling near me!" I literally could not have settled further away from him! It was 180 degree opposite direction from him but he was still saying it was "near" him. The spanish AI did the same thing when she seemed to be on a completely different island set.
b) When I said "fine, I won't settle near you anymore" it gives a -50 malus to relations taht degrades by 1 each turn. But if I say "I settle where i please!" I get a -15 malus. That seems backwards? Why are they more pissed when I agree to their demands? Maybe the -15 is permanent? But it still seems like a weird reaction.
