I dont know if I am posting this in right thread, but anyway i get ctd at start of 3rd turn, when hit next turn in every new game. I am using latest beta update. EUI version, mods: infoaddict, maps-rotate start position. I am grateful for any help.

Inca settling in mountains seems to interfere with caravans and city connections, the first caravan i built in my capital cannot goto any of my other cities even 5 tiles away, and one of my other cities which was also on a mountain did not get city connection gold or science from progress and pantheon, even though the city connection triangle is shown below the city bar

I have the newest version as of writing. I only installed using the .exe, but I checked in Documents for a Cache and found none, and I checked in my Steam directory to make sure no remains of the old version were there.

Turn 4, I click "Next Turn" and then click on the map to drag my view around a bit. Game instantly crashes and I'm at my desktop.

3/1 version

Bug with the pantheon that generates faith/culture for every two jungle/forest tiles worked. It seems that certain tiles count and others don't. Usually the bugged tiles had bonus resources on them but it's not consistent. For example, one spice tile with jungle counted but another spice tile with jungle didn't. Also happened with a deer tile with forest. Can't determine the cause.

It is every two jungle OR two forest, not and/or. Is that the issue?

It is much easier to just get the installer version and pick the options you want with that. Then the correct files are installed, cache is cleared and everything just works.

Well, to me the installer isn't clear.

The first option if if you are using EUI and the other is if you're not.

I'm not using EUI, BUT I WANT TO install it.

I guess I'm confused in the translation of it...

EUI is included. This is in the installation instructions in the .exe.

I downloaded the 2/24 beta and started up a new game. I got to turn 200 and the game crashed on me. I reloaded the game, opened that game and went 2 turns before it crashed again.

I had the following mods enabled in the game:
(1) Community Patch
(2) Community Balance Patch
(3) CSD for CBP
(4) Civ IV Diplomatic Features
(5) More Luxuries
(6a) Community Balance Patch - Compatibility Files (EUI)
City Limits
Really Advanced Setup
PerfectWorld3
InfoAddict

Thanks for any help you can give.

I did it but UI_bc was missing in my DLC folder after I deleted and intalled the auto installer. So I manually downloaded the UI_bc folder. At least for me the auto installer did not install the EUI. I think he is having the same problem. Try this. Btw, in my opinion the installation guide is a little confusing and too long, exceeded. The auto installer need some enhancement to a simple player. I confess that if the patch was not amazing as seen by YouTube I would have given up the installation.

I am now having the same problem in the new beta , but the beta folder does not have the UI_bc folder to download considering that is not working properly. Why not make a cleaner tutorial and all manually? In my opinion it is much easier.

I noticed something odd with the AI opinion system:

a) The AI was valuing territory really far from their capital as "near" them. I built my second city a solid 8 tiles from my capital, which itself was at least another 7 tiles from the closest roman city, and at least 10 tiles from the roman capital. All told the second city must have been near to 20+ tiles away from the roman capital, but they immediately sent me a message saying "stop settling near me!" I literally could not have settled further away from him! It was 180 degree opposite direction from him but he was still saying it was "near" him. The spanish AI did the same thing when she seemed to be on a completely different island set.

b) When I said "fine, I won't settle near you anymore" it gives a -50 malus to relations taht degrades by 1 each turn. But if I say "I settle where i please!" I get a -15 malus. That seems backwards? Why are they more pissed when I agree to their demands? Maybe the -15 is permanent? But it still seems like a weird reaction.

You're misreading the tooltip - the -50 is a countdown (this is why I recommend not using the opinion number info).

The AI doesn't start considering your proximity until after your second founded city - the fact that they got mad is because you are close to them at all (those are both very bold civs).

Ah, thanks for the insight. :)

not really a bug but in large citys wiht many speicalists focusing on science actually gives more culture than focusing on culture, since focusing on culture wont work the many scientist slots that give culture

also railroad cost 0.5 movement point and at the same era road only cost 0.413 movement

That might be the issue but I can't test anymore as I lost the pantheon. It feels a little unintuitive to work that way, but I guess if it's worded clearly that's on me.

In the latest beta (3/1) I can't seem to make canals using forts adjacent to citadels. The single fort or citadel works fine, but the ship can't move into the next tile. I also can't get a ship to enter a fort or citadel next to a coastal city.

Anyone else have that problem or any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?

In the 2/24 beta I built a Colonist but it wasn't able to found a city. I was 6 spaces from the nearest city, at the north end of the world in neutral territory and I couldn't think of any reason why that wouldn't work. This particular colonist couldn't build anywhere.

As a test, I built a 2nd colonist and was able to found a city in another location no problem. I'll check the new beta to see if this problem still occurs.
