C2C SVN Changelog

The military employs alot of chaplains who minister to multiple faiths, chaplain might be a good term. And I threw this together, it might work for you:

Hmmm, it's been a while since I played this, but I no longer seem to be able to get the svn version to launch. I updated my svn folder (to 711), exported it (ended up 2.02gb or so), placed it my bts/mods/Caveman2Cosmos and while the mod shows up in the list if I launch BtS, if I load the mod it just seems to relaunch BtS (Except Caveman2Cosmos appears in the upper right corner of the main menu).

OK, the very first (again the very FIRST) time only, it takes about 3-5 minutes to load:sad:, then after than its less than 30 seconds:) from then on if you leave your PC on that is.

EDIT:

forgot that i added WarMusic awhile back from: Civciv5

added in a few Achievement Buildings for the Heroes portion, http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=10903337&postcount=2, plus a new FPK

EDIT EDIT:

Reported by Sleeeper: MLF for Lara Croft was LaUra corrected thx.
Dangers of the Deep now default 0

The problem isn't the sluggish launch, but that it seems to launch incorrectly. I redownloaded the release version (with patch), and that launches correctly. But when I export the svn, and launch that, I go right back to having the BtS menu, with BtS options (instead of C2C options).

I dont think i am quite understanding what your saying, lets see; you click on start, and it goes to BtS, yes?

Its supposed to if you dont have a shortcut, then just go to the Advanced and select C2C.

Yes, I launch the SVN version of the mod through Advanced/Load A Mod, Caveman2Cosmos appears as an option, I open it, the game restarts, and then launches BtS again (apparently) instead of C2C. the name Caveman2Cosmos does appear in the righttop corner, but for all I can see, it's just BtS. (No game options, map scripts, leaders from C2C). The normal mod (not SVN edition) launches correctly.

Update

- Added: Text document that contains a list of all the Bonuses, Features, and Terrain in
C2C. This file can be found in the Docs folder within the root of C2C.

Please feel free to modify this document as needed and reference it-- as part of internal documenting-- in any files that use those elements.

OK i am putting this WARNING out to all, if anyone wants to keep the HUN's Civ do it now, or forever be gone :hide: (till next time that is:p) I am deleting it soon.

Why not to core files? Huns are cool. I still use that Apache civ too.

Btw, DLL can't handle removing custom civ in mid game. I tried to kill Apache folder and dll crashed. Though it does ok with removing leaderheads.

Yeh, reason is that on a max compat load, if a leader is in use that is no defined in the assets it searches for another leader to use belonging to the same civ. If the civ is not defined in the assets it should serach for another civ to replace it, but maybe there is a bug in that replacement (I assume you were using max compat saves?)

Has anyone recently changed how the system prioritizes the following files:

STONE_AGE_GameText_Objects_BTS.xml
RoM_GameText_Civilopedia_Quotes.xml

The reason I ask is because in one of the recent SVNs, the quote for Tracking
changed from what I had put in (in RoM_GameText_Civilopedia_Quotes.xml) to the one written in STONE_AGE_GameText_Objects_BTS.xml

I actually had no idea the STONE_AGE file contained quotes but when I saw the quote had changed in-game, I was able to track it to that file. I've VERY positive I saw the quote I added in stock v17, so it seems something has changed, and StrategyOnly says he didn't touch the file.

Post the save game that wont load please and I'll have go at fixing the issue

There is attached one using Apache & Huns civs.

Btw i play with "Start as minors" and while i'm still minor civ, i managed to get peace with some civs. 1st peace was by random event with peacemaker, 2nd was when my 1st friendly civ asked me to make peace with another and there was an option to do that.

Ok found the problem (but not sure what to do about it).

The problem is that there are more civs in existance in that game than the total number defined (now the Appache and Huns are gone), so it can't find an unused one to allocate in place of the missing ones. Realistically the only thing the load could do is recycle another civ so you'd have 2 with the same name (but probably different leaders provided the recycled civs had multiple leaders defined).

Do you think it's wirth bothering? Seems rather an edge case...

If no free civs, couldn't it just disappear and give cities/units to barbarians?

That's actually VERY hard to do (like a couple of days coding and testing). I don't think it's justified here.
