Gah! I have a tree conflict in art/interface whenever I try and do an update it just says there is a conflict. When I do a resolve conflict it says OK then when I try and add the new sea hunter promotion buttons it deletes all of SO's silo buttons. Any suggestions?
When you do a resolve it just asserts that the file of that name is now the correct version (and that is what will get committed next commit). You need to do an appropriate merge before you tell SVN you've resolved the conflict.

It used to be that if you made a mistake you could delete the folder or file and get the correct one back by doing an update. Has this changed?
Edit I tried deleting the whole art file but it just restores everything including a conflicted art/interface folder
Selecting resolve then says what is in my folder is correct (no option) and then tries to delete everything in that folder on the SVN.
Edit OK resolve and revert has got the silo buttons back but I have lost all those there before. Luckily I have a back up to get them from.

OK, did you move buttons into an FPK even though I said I was going to upgrade them soon? If so I have probably just put back some that you removed.

Final tweak of the day (5704):
Just addresses a case I observed in my own game, where the AI attack stack almost took my city, and should have done so the following turn, but instead gave up and wandered off. This happened because on the first attack turn the stack lost all of its UNITAI_ATTACK_CITY units, so the stack wound up with a leader with a different AI, for which attacking cities was not a priority! The tweak ensures that if a city attack stack loses its leader it will change the AI type of another unit to maintain the stack's original intent, provided it still has a unit capable of city attack to take on the leader role.

Just downloaded Tortoise and used it on RFC Dawn of Civilization.
Highly disappointed with the quality of that SVN - has really stupid mistakes...
Thus, THE QUESTION:
Should I bother with 3-4GB of C2C or maybe I should rather simply wait for OFFICIAL releases???
It's no big deal downloading, but it IS frustrating to come by stupid errors...

It's been my experience that "stupid errors" are the exception, not the norm. Not to mention, any bugs that crop up with an SVN release are just simple mistakes, nothing more and they're generally fixed quite quickly.

Sure we commonly have some bugs on the SVN but its also there that bug fixes are available right away too. We usually mop up pretty quick and if there's a bug from an update you can always back out of that update until the fix has taken place.
I advise to use the SVN.
