Apologize for the delay of almost 24 hours. One of the strangest weather days for Abilene, Tx. Spent most of the day doing gardening stuff in the yard with my wife. Nothing like getting a little dirty with your....well never mind about that.

Anyhow, Since about 5PM CDT (you Euros can do the conversion quicker than a Yank) it has been wave after wave of thunderstorms. With about 30 minutes in between. I'm afraid that all the fertilizer, insect killer, and fungicide is either washed down the street or driven into the ground for the next year! Oh..did I mention the Quarter size hail ?? Errr..Half a Euro to most of you guys!Anyhow..we've been on alert for possible tornados with these storms..thank God for none of that.

Anyhow...Now that all the ferious lightning has passed so that I can use my computer without getting fried!!!

Not a damn thing happened on the Spainish turn..just in case you wondered..........

I think the midwest and south (USA) are just FUN places to be during the summer/spring, unless a tornado hits, that is...but the thunderstorms are fun (for me) to watch!!

Did you hear that there was an EARTHQUAKE in England this weekend, not near me and not what you would call a proper quake by US standards.

GPS. The Dutch are happy to announce the signing of a right of passage agreement with the Iroquois.

Sorry again for the delay, but I'm back from my holiday, so plenty of time to play now. :crazyeye:

Sully, you truly have the most interesting weather. I was telling an Aussie friend of mine about it while in Japan. I expected Texas to have only one type of weather, like Australia: hot.

What is it with those Dutch? ;)

Well this weather thing is acting out again this week. We have been in drought conditions for the going on three years we've lived here. This current week..it has rained every day since Sunday. Now yesterday it was just a little bit. But since Sunday we've have over 3 inches of rain and tremendous thunderstorms and tornados to the south of Abilene. Later this afternoon we are smack dab in the middle of severe storm paths. On Sunday we had nickle size hail and Monday it was pea size. I spent the good part of yesterday laying down some sod to replace grass that was killed off in the winter and didn't come back. So this crazy weather pattern isn't over yet!

The English are proud to announce the founding of Southport near the mouth of a HUGE river in the northern new world!
