Well, rather than find a replacement, I suggest either the person before or after Erik (who plays Portugal) just ASSUME his turn from now on.
I guess that would either be SPAIN (Blackbird) or FRANCE (oops, that's me).
Then again, if England or Dutch want it instead, that's fine... just that it would mean more turn-bouncing.
So: rather than letting a resignation spoil the whole game - why don't we try THIS? Anybody biting?
EriK - we'd just need to have the passwords you use for PORTUGAL please...

i have the save and haven't played the game because this past few months i have had some personal issues that deny me free time for the PBEM. i think i'm over my personal problem so the games will pick up now on.

Well, sorry guys but my internet took a crap on me and while i can access this site and post, it took me a good 20 mins just to do it due to the fact that I load pages slower than dial-up and disconnect like every 2 minutes. No one at Verizon can figure out WTH is going on, as I've gotten a new modem and replaced it, and they tried doing some stuff as well, and none of it has worked. I can't even access my e-mail, let alone download a save, and now it's going to be Monday before I would even have a chance at getting to it. So I don't know if someone wants to play the game for me for a turn or two until I get back or what. Just giving you guys a heads up.

A glorious year for the English! The city of Jamestown was founded in the New World, on the peninsula our explorers have dubbed Newfoundland. Our explorers also report a tribe of natives to the south of Newfoundland called the Iroquois. In Ireland the last of the Irish rebels have been crushed and another expedition has been planned to this New World.
If I'm not mistaken, we can trade with natives next turn? Or is it the turn after?
