I have thirteen captured treasure, but only two are actually safe, meaning that ten are in danger since I have seen that my potential foes have Man of Wars now, so I have decided to research that and get these powerful ships and hopefully this will protect my treasure from being plundered fby my foes. Right now I only need five more treasure and I will win this game. The number of treasure being brought back to the captials is very worrying since noone esle is bringing in their treasure, so they might have the same idea as me.

From a geographical point of view the Dutch could be a target, but the thing is that he's not a menace. Spain is! And SPain already has 1/3 of the needed VP needed! :(

Wars are often more difficult than predicted, so having a war with the Dutch would get all our nations weaker while Spain got away with getting more gold and silver back to Spain!

I suggest we try to get an alliance with the Dutch against Spain. What sayest thou?

10 Turns is good I think ... as I will be building a city on West Coast soon and will rush a Harbour and build ships, that way I can attack Spain from unexpected direction.

Portugal could assist in attacking Spanish shipping leaving and entering their capital and give me cash which I will share with you.

However I was thinking that we could even land troops in Portugese territory and attack Spain from an unexpected direction. If we need to we can retreat through their territory AND if necessary issue a press release that we are ALL united against Spain. We can make it that Dutch and Portugal take most casualties or cause Spanish forces to move in wrong direction.

This thread is 18 months old. And it had always the same players... I propose we give some more time for the (hopefull) re-appearance of Fe3333.

But if he does not say anything, we should consider a replacement :)( )
