What version of Civ3/Epansion pack are you loading saves from?

I think the old version still is in the upload folder.

I am using Civilization 3 Complete, which is v1.22.

Found it. I must have been mistaken when I said 1.11 worked fine,
as I receive the same error with it.

Also, just tried versions 1.11.2, and 1.11.1. Same error message.

Version 1.10, however, works perfectly.
Played a game for 4 hours last night, using the SGE in 1.10 quite a bit.
Not a single problem. Odd...
 
Not very odd, v1.11 comes with a completely rewritten save and bic handling system, which is easier to maintain, but probably still have many bugs.

Are you sure that you are playing the Conquests expansion in the complete release, and not vanilla Civ3?

I've found a bug that will make Civ3 >= 1.21f generate the said errors.

Yes. My shortcut is clearly pointing to Conquests.

Was using an earlier version of your program with a pre-1.29f version, and it seemed to work fine. Upgraded all around and am getting the same problems - "Error while listing races" and "Error while listing civs".

Hope your exams went well...
 
hi gramphos...

me again, im trying to use the multi tool with C3C and it always locks up.. it becomes a non responsive program.. any ideas?

its not just 1 save its any save...and yes its fully updated. although i dont have the c3c patch had it yesterday and had same problem.

once its trying to open the saved game...i select the one in the list and hit open and after 5 min still nothing, i click it and it says non responsive..
 
umm yeah i did Ill post it later and Im on XP Pro
 
I have a question concerning the c3mt saved game editor (v 1.11.3). i'm just trying to change the difficulty setting on a saved game, but i once i edit that, the file becomes corrupted. what am i doing wrong?
 
Probably nothing. There are some bugs with specific savegame versions they will eventually disappear with an upcoming version, but right no I have no idea of when the next version might get out. I simply have to many things to do in RL, and other programming committments as well. C3MT currntly has the lowest priority to get a share of my time, and that means that it pretty mush stand still, and will do so for at least a month.
 
hey gramphos I got a funny error... everytime i try to " change" a game, I try to save my changes and I get the report error thing
 
I'm running Civiliization 3 v.1.29, I can't get Civ3MultiTool to run.

At first I don't recall which version I had of Civ3MultiTool and I could edit my saved games but when I would go to load them it woud load about 28% and then say illegal function and shut down, so I upgrade to the latest updated version of Civ3MultiTool kept coming up run error 538 it when I would try to run it, so I uninstalled Civ3MultiTool and installed Civ3MultiTool v. 110 and it won't load my saved for I can edit them.
 
I just updated my civ 3 to 1.29f and your multitool isn't working espicially the savegame editor all I get with that is:
Error while listing races: Object variable or With block varible not set

How the heck do I fix this please help!

(I'm on XP Pro with civ 3 version 1.29f)
 
Gramphos, we've been using Civ3MultiTool to organize the unit build list for The Balancer Reloaded mod (http://www.evo-games.net/Home/viewtopic.php?t=291&start=75&sid=bca025be6ca9de60e631c6920341f16d). I have discovered that version 1.11.3 does some strange things to the king units in Regicide mode... it changes the king units to other units, such as the Aegis Cruiser and aircraft... I'm going to go back to a previous version that didn't have that problem but I thought I'd make you aware of it.
 
That sounds strang. Any other strange changes of values. It must be a bug in v1.11.x new BIC handler, probably a field that is of the wrong type. Will look into it when I have time.

We haven't noticed any other value changes. Everything else seems to work as intended. I've gone back to v1.10 and it works without flaw.

Thanks, by the way, for this fantastic utility tool. Our build list would be very cluttered without it.
