C3MT - Civ3MultiTool (Second CFC Thread) 2016-10-05

Editor limitations generally cannot be overridden.
Limitations are hardcoded.
You cannot replace the barbs with a 32nd civ.
Colors are limited to 32.
Civs are limited to 31 + barbs.
All those are true
362x362 i think is the largest map possible.
This one is not. The true limit of the map size is 65536 tiles, that is X*Y <= 131072. If you are to make a square map the limits in the editor is the true limit. However, the game is capable of handling maps of other proportions, with one diminsion larger than 362. 512*256 would for instance be a possible map using the maximum possible number of tiles.

ok, most of the links are disabled, and its fairly confusing as to which parts I need...thetool works<?> for me, but everything has errors...I only d/led the "full" version from here http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads5/c3mtfull.zip
but I cant get the "small" files...are they needed and if so can someone tell me where they are posted?...

Not from what I see. My world builder only lets me enter a heigth and width between 16 and 362.

That is because the game, and official editors limits the size to 362, since it dosn't have any liked limits. You can create a larger map with the Image2Map tool of C3MT. You could make it 100% water, nad then oad it into the edior and buld it in there. The editor would allow it to load. Just won't generate it.

I want to download it, but I don't understand what I have to download to install it. I see more than 1 different files availible to download. I simply don't have this tool and want it. It's so complicated! What do I have to download to run it?

You need one the full installs (Your choice) and from what I saw You'll need the file buildings small.pcx found in the next message.

The buildings small file is onlyy needed if you are using vanilla Civ3, and plan to use the Copy tool to copy buildings. It's generally not recommended any more.

hello;
is there anyway to repair a civ3 sav file that got damaged by civ3 multi tool? the cmt was working beautifully-all i was doing was putting more money in my treasury, changed the retirement date, and checked off a few tech advances. low and behold about the 10th time i did it it gave an error message saying "dataIO CTZN error"...and now i can't play my game anymore. normally i would blow it off but have invested alot of time in it. any help would be most appreciated. thanks, glen

I'm sorry to bother you guys but everytime I load any save in the SaveGame Editor I get this error:

Error: Type mismatch (13) in C3MT @ frmSaveEdit.frm Line 3710

So what should I do?

gbee and Unperson: What versions of Civ3 are you using?

gbee: Didn't the multitool create a backup of the savefile before editing it? Does the broken save still load into C3MT? If not what error message do you get?

Everytime I try to follow one the links to download this program, I keep getting "Cannot Find Server" errors. What is the right link?

The civfanatics.net server seems to be down at the moment. Those links should work once it is back up again.

Ok. I'll try again later. Thanks.

I've been using C3MT for a couple of years. I just got a new computer, installed Civ 3 (vanilla 1.21f) and then downloaded the full C3MT, not to mention every other version I could find to try to get back up and running...

Every time I run C3MT 1.12.2 and try to use the save game mod, I get 30 messages saying File Not Found: art\units\palettes\ntp00.pcx...

Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Here's what is in C3MT.log... thanks for helping me out...

ok im having a problem, just started all of a sudden, i go to modify a game in the save game modifier, and it tells me that it is an unknown version. Ive tried uninsatlling and reinstaling and still same problem....

It also says: Error while listing levels: Object variable or with block not set....then i hit ok and it pops up a million times

I've now tested the new install on three seperate computers (new install of CivIII 1.29f and subsequent install of C3MT). All versions came back with the same issue for C3MT 1.12... noted above along with the log file version.

I managed to get the older version installed but is crashes when you try to save a modified saved game.

Any help? Does anyone else have this issue with new installs?

Uh-oh. Goldflash having a problem. I'm trying to open the Tech Tree Builder. I select the biq I want and then I get

Run-Time error '5':

Invalid Procedure call or Argument
