Can Perry End the Feud?

Perry's getting older and Swift has a few more years before she's gettin' older, so a conciliatory effort is her way to use the feud for publicity as she transitions into a sustainable mature force, while defending against the losing position of trying to win America's All-American White Woman Sex Symbol against someone who still has inherent youth sexiness.
 
It seems this thread is about rich white girl problems. Am I missing something?

Are they really competing in terms of image though?

Perry is the one with the sexualised image. Swift not so much, at least in my perception. But I have no idea what's going on with them tbh.
 
In the ancient days before the internet ( :old: ) this kind of story would mostly circulate in tabloids. Now it can be everywhere, and picked up by thousands of youtube warriors as well.

Neither Perry nor Swift are more than (imo pretty bad) pop musicians, and this feud is meaningless anyway.
That said, recall the 90s and Britney Spears. It was crap as well :)

I'd say they are. It's not quite as similar a vibe as say, Cyrus/Madonna/Perry/Gaga, who all kinda slam(ed) it slutrock style, but of those four, Perry probably has the "cleanest" sexualized image, which is what Swift hammers home hard.
