Woaw. There are two amazing things I can immediately spot with that map. First, Germay was twice more populated than France before ww2 (today, the gap is only of 20 million people). Second, France is today the country in Europe with the largest Jewish religious community (even ahead of Russia).
EDIT: Forget about it. It doesn't fit. Alberta has nowhere near the same population density as British Columbia... and there are probably more Canadians in California than Kentucky.

No, it was ~80M, before the Anschluss. Keep in mind 'Germany' convered a larger area then, than it does now (after it's territory was cut down to size, post-war).
Plus, Austria is on the map - about 6.7M, as you can see. Sudetenland added ~3M more, btw.
