And I've also never seen an atom, a flu virus, a quasar or the city of Bombay. Something may or may not exist, but one person\ not personally observing it isn't particularly convincing either way.

There are easy ways for you to view these things, if you really wanted to.

There is no easy way of viewing an alien living amongst us.

Your premise of "Just because you can't see something doesn't mean that it doesn't exist" is faulty.

I don't know about "wiped us out", but if there were starfaring aliens, they would have turned off the stars to save energy. The stars are still on, and that's strong evidence that there are no starfaring aliens, and hence no aliens among us.

Not if

(i) the aliens alive in the stars

(ii) the missing mass consists of stars the aliens have turned off.

If aleins could travel the 100 000 light years to get to us they'd probably be able to learn everything there is to know about us in two weeks. And I can't imagine why they'd live among us if not for reaserch, so I think they don't live among us.

100% of the intelligent species humans have detailed knowledge of tends to spend a good chunk of it's time killing others for whatever reason they can make up

There won't be so many habitable planets out there that a star faring species could "waste" one by letting another species live on it.
