Cat-clops

Hell no I wouldn't pay for one... I'd probably puke on it looking as ******** as it does.

New Scientist article sometime in the last ~5 years on a gene that needs its activity regulated carefully, or you get this OR double head depending on insufficient/excessive activity. If anyone can find a linky/remember the gene, I'd be grateful.
:mwahaha: Found it! Any subscribers here who could extract the whole article?

Unsurprisingly, then, it looks like this mutation is one that's a result of damage to a working system - not a 'leap forward' but a 'leap backward'.

Looks fake. By the way, kittens don't open their eyes for at least two weeks usually. They also don't eat, drink or deficate for about four (relying solely on their mother's milk).

how does relying on mothers milk stop them deficating? Certainly all the kittens i have raised poop pretty soon ;)

I dunno why, I figured it was because their bodies were so efficient. The ones I raised didn't poop until about three or four weeks old.
