last month a satanist was walking on the road minding his own buisness, when two catholics came up to him and violently beat him with a metal rod.
and what the police have to say about this?? - "well he deserves it for being a satanist. it's good to see our citizens in engaging in good christian activity" ???
what do you guiys have to say about this ??

I didn't see that quote in the links, but at least the police are pursuing assault charges. I personally dislike 'hate crime' laws in any case, so while I'd hope they'd treat a Church of Satan victim's attackers the same as any other religion's attackers, I'd much prefer that they drop the whole concept.
 
I have this to say:

"good" not found
"activity" not found
"deserved it" only found by other satanists denouncing him for being weak

Teenagers heavily involved.

Being different than the surroundings is for some people a reason to start bullying and to become violent. I don't think this has much to do with being satanist. And it also has nothing to do with being Catholic. It's the "he's not like us for reason xxxx thingy".

It's sad and the crime should be punished. I have little hope he'll be accepted in the neighbourhood though.
 
There's lots of misconceptions and sterotypes about Satanisim as I saw in the other thread. People are extrmely ignorant and reactionary to this sort of thing. Satanisim is as legitmate a beleif as any other and should be treated equally.
 
Sounds to me like the guy got his butt kicked for being a wierdo with blue hair as opposed to being a satanist.

Also, the thread title should most likely be changed. I didnt see anything to indicate that the kids that beat this guy up were catholic.

Also, I have to wonder exactly how much our good outstanding citizen satanist provoked his fellows neighbors on his way to his S&M clubs or by saying things like "I hate christians, Jews and Muslims"? The article I read did say the satanist has anger issues.

Yes, what these folks did was a crime and it should be punished. But do I think the satanist completely innocent in the matter? Hardly.

To me, that would indicate a certain proclivity or desire for violence, active or passive. I do not find it beyond the realm of possiblity that a person who frequents such a place to have instigated such a situation in order to experience pain for his own purposes.

Personally, I think people who get sexual satisfaction from inflicting or receiving pain quite disturbed. The fact that this person frequents such clubs, in his own words, "to work out his anger" makes me question just how much of a victim/innocent he is.

I know, i know, i wasn't laughing kuz that guy died. It was funny because i was thinking "Oh well, 2 more idiots killing in the name of smthing they don't understand ..."

You're grasping at straws here. S&M is not just about pain to expierence sexual pleasure (you do realise that pain does cause sexual arousal biologically when it comes to certain parts of the body)
An important factor to S&M is about power relationships, it mentions that he was the one that got flogged, generally that means he is willing to be the submissive in an S&M relationship which contrasts with your statement about him being agressive and actively violnet. Also S&M is consensual and part of his private life and seperate from what happens in his public life.
I fail to see how he is at fault.

1. I feel that the attackers are not true Christian Attackers. What they should have done insted was eather pray or witness to them

2. I am actualy uncomfortable with Satanism due because of it's worship and reconition of Satan.
