CCM2 Epic Mod

Something unexpected, at least for me, happened. I conquered Haarlem from the democratic Dutch and wanted to build a barack (fascist), but i couldn't find it in the production list. What was the case: with conquering that city their barack (fascist) survived. Apparently they switched governments from fascist to democracy. It happened again with conquering two other Dutch cities.

I'm now nearly finished with my 3rd CCM2 game, just a few turns away.

XTC, yes there is something 'unexpected' in your post for me, too. Not unexpected is, that a government specific building is still existing disabled in a city and becomes again enabled when a civ with that government is the owner of that city (either by changing back government or by conquering that city). But the fascist barracks are normal improvements and give one culture. So if that city is conquered by another civ - even if it has the government that is needed for that building - that building should be razed when the city is conquered. But in your post, that building, giving 1 culture per turn, was not razed.

I just checked: those 3 conquered baracks (fascist) don't give culture, the baracks (fascist) I build do give culture.
 
XTC, if it is possible, please post two save files from your current game. One save short before you have conquered a city with these baracks and one after you have conquered such a city. I want to have a look at these save files, as in CCM2.50 there should only be one building barracks (fascist) and this gives one culture.
 
Unfortunately I don't have savegames, Civinator, the reason is that after I started my 2nd CCM game I couldn't find the save games on my computer. It seems that every save is immediately erased after the save. I checked the whole computer, but there was no save file to be found. It is possible to make a savegame in a different folder but it is a bit cumbersome so I stopped doing that.

If there is an easy way make a save game please let me know, in the past it was possible. I had 2 lock-ups in this game and I could use the file in the Autosave-folder. But as all Dutch cities are now Scandinavian ;) those autosave-folder are no help anymore.

When such a thing happens again in the future I will make a save game.

No, I am afraid not. I tested it and checked the directory you mentioned, the newest file (apart from the auto saves) was from january 20th 2020, that was the day I finished my second CCM game (as Italy). After the latest CCM update I started my 3rd game as Scandinavia and no normal save file survived unfortunately.
 
Ah a Homm reference, love that game, also Might and Magic she is in both series. There was a mod for Homm that I played many years back, unless I am having yet another senior moment.

I may be thinking of the Moo mod.
 
Civinator, I just conquered the Turkish city Bursa, now I didn't have to build the National Work Service, because it survived. Both I and the Turks have the same government type.

Ah a Homm reference, love that game, also Might and Magic she is in both series. There was a mod for Homm that I played many years back, unless I am having yet another senior moment.

The mod is tom2050´s Conquests of Might and Magic III, a really brilliant mod. During the game I have a special look at the multiple flag units, as I´m still working on worldmaps. :)

XTC, this is the normal behaviour of that building. It has no culture, so it shouldn´t been razed when the city that is holding that building is conquered by another civ. If that civ had the fascist government, the building still can be used in that city.

jlvfr, as now all is working well with your Guided Missile Cruisers, I only have to do the second part of my post for CCM2.50:

CCM2.50 will receive a big update patch (at present more than 600 additional WW2 units) so it will allow to play WW2 Global Gold and SOE, too. Some of the new units (per example imperator1961 artillery units) will be playable for CCM2.50, too. A special thank you very much to Wotan49 for shrinking some of the imperator1961 unit graphics. :)

Hi. I am having a problem with suply shipments. I do what it says in the civilopedia but I do not receive the 25 gold. Any idea what the problem may be? Here's my save. Regards!

When you start a new game, you have to select the option to use the shipments, ot they willbe useless.

Lean87, thank you for your interest in CCM2.50. :) Additionally to activating the option 'Supply Shipments' as jlvfr posted, the option 'Victory Point Scoring' must be enabled, when starting a game of CCM2.50. Unfortunately, if these options are not activated when starting a game, the Supply Shipments cannot be used during that game. I will improve the description in the CCM civilopedia in that part.
