CFC.COM, the MES/NES: A Second Chance

What kind of spells would a Technomancer have?

And can I write a story even though this hasn't started? Just Alex trying out his suit?

Name: Lemta/Optical
Origin: TL-67, 202 BC, Tuareg wanderers, mother and guide (and ancestor of the Tuareg)
STR=40, PER=75, END=50, CHA=75, INT=60, AGI=75, LCK=75
HP=120, MP=22, CP=20
Abilities: Magic (Wild Man (woman?)) Lvl 1, Archery Lvl 1, Healing Lvl 1, Pathfinding Lvl 1, Rhetoric Lvl 1
Disabilities: Xenophobe (non-Tuareg desert tribes), Eccentric
Weapons: Bow and arrows/quiver, walking staff
Armor: Desert Headdress, silk robe bought from a Persian merchant
Other Items: Sandals, small tent (1m long and 25cm diam. rolled up), electrum ring from Carthage
Injuries: None

@Arrow Gamer: still not enough. The vehicles do not count as objects. If you want to have vehicles, then you will have to wait to have enough materials to build a few of your own.
@merciary: if you feel that you prefer keeping Morriss, he can be one of those that survived.
@talonschild: Jolliness and Seen It All should not count as abilities. However, in the interest of keeping this in the game, I'm willing to accept them. I'll make sure to put both abilities to good test, though. :D The Leather Gloves and the Gas Mask count as armor. Also, remember that you can have 4 objects right now.
@SamSniped: as Arrow Gamer has said, you can't have more than 2 combat abilities. Your weapon is acceptable, although the only way you will be able to restock it will be if you manage to find your way back to your planet, or if some kind of smuggler manages to bring some from your planet to the hub. Also, I suppose that your rifle can only carry 6 bullets in one clip, ain't it?

EDIT: @SamSniped: McGyvering does not count as a combat ability. You still have one too many combat abilities.
@Grandkhan: a very interesting idea, indeed. Though, I do not understand the Philosopher ability, and what is supposed to be for. Also, I think that, the way you have built him, your guy is more of a Mystic.
@Seon: if you are able to make it good and workable (and funny), then I am willing to accept your pixie.

Okay, changed the ability. Also, changed it to 50 rounds total, 10/clip. I had put down 30 for some reason, don't know why.

Right, so I've fiddled with my Abilities. How's this?
Spoiler :
Abilities:
Evasion Training Lvl 1 (hard to hit due to tendency to dodge out of the way, Jack Sparrow style)
Poisonous Touch (All living things that come into skin contact with Agent Orange become ill and/or die)
Escape Training Lvl 1
Combat-Happy (receives a bonus of 5 on all combat-oriented rolls)
Dramatic (Adept at communicating without language)

I'm also thinking of that Alex's dagger, Agent Orange's dagger, Emile's sabre, and Zenon's sword is plenty in the way of sword-length blades. If there are more characters who choose a sword of some description I'll change the melee weapon to some sort of nerve-zapping glove. Suggestions on alternative melee weapons (and a fourth Object) welcome.

I won't be using my dagger often, though. I'll mostly be unloading on people with my suit.

We definitely need a sniper/magic archer commandertype person.

@Milaqui: I'll join, if you're okay with possibly automating a few of my actions if I don't get an order in. :) Also, it says in the OP that health is 50 + STR + END/2 not 50 + END + STR/2 like it was last time. Was that intentional? It doesn't seem right for health to be based more on strength than endurance IMO.

Name: Victor Von Videnhausen/NinjaCow64
Origin: TL-1160, 2000, United Kingdom
Stats: STR=75, PER=65, END=60, CHA=50, INT=75, AGI=60, LCK=65
HP=150 MP=25 CP=18
Abilities: Technomancer, Bionic Fighting (bonus for using his Bionic Arm in combat), Inventor (can invent new things), Fast Learner (learns things faster than normal), Mechanic (can fix things).
Spells:
Spoiler :
Magic Clones: Allows him to make multiple clones of himself and objects on his person. Each clone has the same abilities and personality as Victor. He can make the clones disappear on will and doing so will give him their experiences and injuries. However, these clones will also disappear when enough force his exerted on them, usually a punch will make them disappate. Another downside is that there will be slight variations in the non-biological objects that are cloned along with them, rendering things such as cloned guns and phones completely useless. The only way to avoid this is to perform a special ritual on the object that is going to be cloned, which is what Victor has done to his Bionic Arm.
Tehnopathy: Allows him to communicate with technology as pyschics communicate with other creatures. This makes things such as reprogramming and hacking a breeze.
Electrical Blast: Allows him to fire a bolt of electricity out of his bionic arm.

Disabilities: Eccentric (to the point of insanity), Very Little Common Sense (although Victor is a genius, sometimes he has ideas that lack common sense. Like the time he replaced his arm with a bionic arm and didn't use anesthetic. Boy that hurt)
Weapons: Bionic Arm (his arm has been replaced with a super strong robotic one), Miniture Super Computer (it has a spot where he can put it in within his bionic arm so he doesn't have to have it hanging out during combat. Is his magical focus)
Armor: Lab coat and otherwise normal clothes, other than his Bionic Arm.
Other Items: A tool kit with about anything that you would ever need to invent or fix something (that's going to count for the other six items he can carry right there)
Injuries: None (other than not having a right arm and instead having a Bionic one)

TL-1160 is a timeline that is very similar to our own, other than the exsitence of inpersonal magic. The magicians were left alone, saying that magic was something that could not be quantified by science. Victor, a self proclaimed mad scientist, decide that was stupid and did find a way to quntifiy magic with science, using machines to make him able to use magic only available to someone with natural talent. The magicians were not to pleased with him, so they killed him. So now he is part of the MES, roaming the universe and praticing his science...

You do have a penchant for crazy characters, NC... :p

@talonschild: well, they do count as armor, even if he isn't wearing them. I'll have to make sure to throw a few "Are you my mummy?" jokes around :D. Abilities look good. If you want a suggestion for an alternate melée weapon, I'd say that something that is able to extract tiny amounts of your poison to deliver them to the enemy in a spiked fist could be interesting. BTW, nice pun on the name.
@Grandkhan: the things your guy did did not strike me as Technomancy. Rather, it was more like you had your spells and you used the spear as a focus to use the spells. As for Philosopher... well, you can try to use it to screw up with someone's mind.
@Arrow Gamer: a Technomancer is someone that uses technology to gain magical powers, or that has magical abilities that can affect technology. For example, if you were to use C++ to develop a spell for you to use, then that would be Technomancy. And, yes, if you feel up to it, you can write a story.
@Optical: Finally, a woman! It was getting rather solitary... I hope other players take up female roles soon. Seon, that pixie better be a lady!
@NinjaCow64: sure, no problem. Just tell me the direction you want to go, more or less. As for the health... well, crap. Thanks for saying it! It's been corrected now. Your character is very good, and you did seem to manage to do a good idea for a Technomancer.

It's my first attempt at roleplaying a female character... hopefully it goes OK :p

I made my spells.

And a story: Alex walked into the weapons area. looking for a very specific weapon. He found it almost immediately, hanging on a wall. As he took it off its hook, the weight nearly overwhelmed him. "Change Mass," he muttered, using a spell he had invented. Suddenly, the suit seemed to weigh nothing at all, another amazing feat of this new 'magic.' Alex twirled the suit around, intrigued by the meshing of magic and technology, examining every bit of it. He had forged this suit out of the last of the materials he brought with him from his home planet, and as such the suit brought with it memories of his life then. He wished he had a spell called "dispel memories.'

Regardless, he had to test this thing out. He put on the behemoth: a hulking suit of metal, powered by steam and magic. It was equipped with rocket launchers, and these new 'machine guns,' whatever those are. It also included grenade launchers, several snipers and a flamethrower. Alex, excited to test the suit out, put it own and muttered "Cancel," ending the enchantment. However, the suit's technology was crafted towards this specifically, and the construct stayed upright.

***

"Come on, Alex, let's see this thing in action!" yelled Victor, excited to see the new suit work.

"Fine, just a moment." Alex approached the door, and leaned forward to press the keypad that would open it. However, the finger of the suit would crush it, so Alex pulled a lever and the fingers of the suit opened, and smaller ones protruded out. They typed in the necessary code, and the door swung open. Alex strode into the room, and instantly it altered itself. Enemies sprung up: a man, a dog, a tank. Alex hit the man with a machine gun, backed up, then shot him in the head with a sniper. He pivoted around, and emptied a clip of rockets on the tank, blowing it to smithereens. Simultaneously, he muttered "teleport," and appeared next to the dog. He stomped on it, and it disintegrated back into the gray pellets it was created out of.

"I could get used to this."

And, an origin story, assuming the same "abducting the moments-from-death" idea:

"WOOHOOHOOHOOHOO!"

Agent Orange ran through the bushes, a - well, orange - apparition whooping like a maniac and leaving a trail of withering jungle in his wake. Five soldiers bearing the American star on their helmets sped after him, trying hard to keep up. They had no idea how, but every bullet seemed to miss him.

They were raiding a little rebel outpost at Au Phuc Dup, simply because HQ thought raids were the best way to put Agent Orange's... unique skillset to use. Certainly he was no good as a patrolman, neither as a spy. So raids it was, however little the soldiers assigned to support him disliked it.

And now they'd reached a little palisade. One of the soldiers tossed a grenade over, and Agent Orange heaved himself over the top the instant after it blew. He landed behind a miraculously untouched sentry. As the little man spun around, Agent Orange dealt him a mighty punch. The man was hurled backwards, and by the time he rolled to a stop, the part of his face where he'd been hit had turned grey and begun to give off a powerful stench. Two other rebel soldiers appeared and began to spray the area with gunfire. Agent Orange dived out of the way, arms flailing, while his support soldiers took the men down. Still whooping, he tore open the door to the command post. He squeezed off a dozen quick shots, killing all five men inside.

The six men entered the command post. But for the five dead bodies, it was deserted. On the desk, there was a crate. It had a large nuclear logo on it, and a digital timer, reading, "0004", "0003", "0002"... The five soldiers turned and ran. Agent Orange considered the situation.

"Well, shitballs," he said.

The timer reached zero.

OOC: Glad you noticed, Milarqui, though it was less of a pun and more of a "hey, that sounds like a name, let's anthropomorphize it!" Other possibility - bare fists are already a potent melee weapon against uncovered people. Now I just need something to penetrate armour.

Arrow Gamer - does that thing have any weaknesses?!

I'd really like to retake my character from the previous game.

Very slow and unagile. And you basically kill people by touching them. Not sure how that could be beaten very easily...

I decided I'm going to let Morriss retire, I doubt he'd volunteer for another run anyways:

Name: Wesley Grimmer/merciary

Armor: Reinforced leather armor (advance alloys in vital parts), leather boots, gloves, and duster
Other Items: 3 HEAL syringes, Thermal Goggles

Story up soon

@Arrow Gamer, talonschild: good stories! Though, AG, your suit's abilities seem to be a bit overpowered. Also wondering how you plan for your "abducted moments before death" moment...
@JoanK: you are welcome to do it. However, you'd better rework him a bit, because the new limits are different from those in the previous game. Also, your character can be a sort of mentor to the others, since he is (so far) the only one that has repeated role.
@merciary: How does the Scavenger ability work? Because I remind you that it has to be a Combat ability... Either way, looks interesting.

Scavenger is being better at finding items, hmmmm... I might need to rethink this if I need two combat abilities.

Actually replace Stealthy with Marksman (better at hitting vitals).

If Honda did survive it would be his only option to continue as part of the crew of the CFC.com till the end. I'll get it done tomorrow.
