CFC dungeons and dragons RPG

OOC:
I'm rather swarmed with work at the moment, so expect a little absent minded Sigur for a while.

IC: Hmm it completely escaped me that the major here wanted a word with us. I always assumed it was the one in Naskel. Oh well, maybe we can get both to pay us for doing the same job.

IC

@Sigur/Till: I must have missed that in my hungover haze as well. The smithy told us to speak to the Mayor of Nashkel. I don't suppose it would harm us to get more information from the one here though.

OOC: I wont be able to post much today. Much much work.

Ill update tomorrow ..... in my days off ! :)

You guys can still talk together! :)

OOC:

It was the town crier, not the smithy, who directed us to the mayor here. Unless he was telling us that the mayor in Naskel needed errands run for him. Which would be an odd thing for a town crier in another town to do, I would think . . .

I suppose the original post is unclear . . .

OOC: I needed to put in side quests somehow. Some of you catched the hint so they convinced the party of going there ...... probably to grab some experience???? Now you guys are In front of the mayors house.

Edit : Upon further revision .... realising that it dosent say that its beregost's mayor that needs help. I will clear it up.

Plain and simple.

The town crier is shouting out daily news, *"The mayor someone to run some errands.. The Nashkel mines have been raided yesterday night. ''*[/

UPDATE - Round-up of the situation

OOC: To avoid confusion I will summarize what has happened.

  • the party woke-up, ate and headed to the blacksmith.
  • You bought your items and asked questions to ThunderHammer.
  • ThunderHammer pointed you towards the Naskel Mayor.
  • You guys packed your inventory and put your armor on, a beggar got 5 GP from Nicholas and went in a tavern
  • the town crier was advertising daily news : The Beregost mayor needs help + the nashkel mines raided again.
  • Sigur and Glappo were ready to head to Nashkel when Oskar pointed to the Beregost's mayor house. The group accepted the motion and walked there.
  • you are now in front of the Beregost mayor's house and 2 guards are standing in front of the doors.

That should probably do it.

Now you guys know what is happening. take it from there.

It is now mid-afternoon

:)

Perfection asked the guards if we could see the mayor, which is why I haven't done much. :)

Ill look into that later! ....

IC:
To Glappo:
The guards still don't react. Maybe you should try again, using less big words and instead maybe a metaphor suitable for their mental horizon...

IC:
[steps up to the gaurds]
Howdy there!
I'm Glappo, representative of the newly formed Elminster's Errand Squad, we're wondering if we could talk to the mayor about some employment oppurtunities for an hungry young group like ours.

OOC: I'm just gonna assume that the previous statement never happened

OOC: Don't be afraid to ask if there is some confusion. :)

IC:

Guard #1: What?, Can't you see that we are talking here? You're kinda rude! I should slap you for that!

Guard #2: Wait, Wait, Wait! Let them be. Besides ..... If they are here to run the errands the will probably get refused the job. They look too unexperienced to do any simple job.

You guys here to see the mayor! You guys are in luck! He happens to be here.

But It will cost yall 200 GP to see him.

IC

You have got to be kidding...

@Guards: The Town Cryer directed us here - to speak with the mayor...I would hate to think you are trying to line your pockets just for your own sake?

IC:

*The Town Cryer directed us here - to speak with the mayor...I would hate to think you are trying to line your pockets just for your own sake?*

Guard #2: Are you calling me a liar? You should watch your mouth young "adventurer", It could coust you a few bruises.

Punk.

Guard #1: Yeah! ..... Now pay-up!

IC:

I can see why your town is so desperate for competent help. If you do not wish to tell the mayor we've answered his call, that's your business. I'll not pay you for the privilege of helping you out of a jam.

To party: Let's just head straight for Naskel. It sounded like they needed our help here, but it can't be too urgent if they're going to jerk us around this way. The quicker we take care of things at the mine, the closer we are to getting this over with and getting back to our lives.

Yes its a good buy!

Buy BG2 after you finish the first.
