SecuROM has nothing to do with graphics settings

Not in the case with GTA IV. More info is in the Steam forums. The only way to bypass graphics restrictions is to change the SecuROM Launcher, which is required to play the game. In order to do this, you must create a shortcut to the SecuROM Launcher and then change the "Start In" Line.

If SecuROM has nothing to do with graphics settings, why would you need to change SecuROM's launching in order to fully change the settings?

So I assume some or maybe many of you have bought stuff off steam? I can't seem to buy the X-Com pack at all, it doesn't work by Credit card and nor by Pay Pal. Anyone got an idea whats going on?

I have bought several games off of Steam, viz. the Orange Box, Audiosurf, Medieval II Total War (and Kingdoms), and Half-Life. It is a poor idea to acquire non-Steam games that you plan to mod or for which you plan to download mods via Steam, though.

It's actually a custom model within the map to function like the cart. But with more scripting to enable it to be lethal if you cross it's path and pull additional cars.

Very fun game of Left 4 Dead PrinceScamp, I'm disappointed that I forgot to take any screenshots, especially of that poor trapped tank in the luggage rack.

I took two. And yes it was fun, it was normal diff so I just went rambo and had fun. Good stress reliever.

Also I was truly blessed to hear the voice of the great Kan speak, he said "Thanks"[for being the best general in all of his AARs].

I just re-noticed that I have Day of Defeat: Source too. I played that one quite a lot a year ago. Anyone has it?

I have DoD but I only bought it for GMOD, and it was on sale. It's not very good imo.

I have DoD:S (as well as Counter-Strike: Source), but I only bought those two mainly for props and maps for Garry's Mod.

I mainly play Half Life Series, Garry's Mod, Portal, and TF2.

I find that I kind of suck at DOD, but once I had found a server that I kept going back to, it kept me playing a lot for a couple of months. I found the players were more communicative than in Call of Duty, at least.

Yes communities can make a mediocre game better, it's why MMOs are still around. And the ingame mic support helps a lot.

Well I give up on trying to get the X-Com pack, nothing seems to be working for me at all. No pay pal, no Visa, wonder if its just a canadian thing.
