Stemming from an argument I had with my mother, cause I'm so cool I do that sometimes.

Since I listen to such satanic and decadent music, if anyone can show me Christian bands that kick half as much ass as the ones I listen to, I'll give them a shot.

Put up.

If choirs are your thing, there aren't many better than the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Asking for Christian Music in an atheist majority forum is not a good idea.

Thats like asking for dating advice from a pool of people who never had their first kiss with a girl (no offense guys).

Idk what kind of music you like so I'll just list a lot of bands. Weeeelllll, a few.

Switchfoot, David Crowder band, Relient K, The O.C. Supertones, Olivia the band, Passion Worship.

Well, what kind of music do you listen to Trajan? Rock? Metal? Rap? It's kind of hard to tell you what Christian bands that you might like if we don't know what kind of music you like.

Most Christian rock groups suck, and it's not because they're Christian, it's because their music is terrible.

I'll be testing all the aforementioned bands.

The music I mianly wanted to test here was metal. Seeing as the good metal bands are always accused of being satanic.

Also, since rock and punk bands have sex and materialism, you can give me some of those as well.

Hell, I know I'll regret this, but even hip hop from a Christian perspective is welcome.

some christian punk-rock likely stuff I think

It really depends on what you like to listen to.

Most of Bach, parts of Mozart (like Till posted) are Christian music, and are a huge masterpiece for anyone into classical music, the Russian liturgy music is absolutely fantastic if you are into choral music, there is Christian rock, there is Christian music for children (carols, anyone?) and pretty much anything you can think of.

If you want metal, it's going to be hard, since it contradicts some of the surface aspects of Christianity. It's going to be hard to find good music of a group that disagrees with some parts of how that music is made or performed, so if you only like metal, it's no wonder that you can't get the satisfaction you want from Christian music. If this is the case, the mistake is both in the other people's opinions (believing that you would have to like Christian music) and your opinion (believing that Christian good music cannot exist - but since you only think metal is good music and most Christians would rarely encourage metal your request is unfillable).

Well, Switchfoot is a pretty popular Christian band - they're a sort of light rock, I guess. Reliant K is somewhat popular, but I don't really like them very much, because most of their music is more like pop music than rock. For harder rock or metal, I'd recommend P.O.D. Underoath or Pillar. I don't listen to much hard rock so I can't recommend much.

Kutless, Skillet, KJ-52, Anberlin, Thousand Foot Krutch, Relient K, Demon Hunter, and 12 Stones are all artists I am familiar with that consider themselves to be Christian to some extent or another. Demon Hunter is a particularly interesting study.

Oh, and as far as Thousand Foot Krutch is concerned, Phenominon is by far their best work.

EDIT: I also hear Extol is pretty big, although I haven't given them a listen myself.
