Civ Elimination-Who will win?

Well, this is stupid. If you're just going to go in and bump your favorite civ up and dump down the current leader, sure, your civ will win.

You're supposed to bump up the civ you see as the strongest, and bump down the remaining one you see as the WEAKEST.

I've voted one time - bumped Songhai up, America down.

Glassmage for instance, has voted FOUR TIMES, bumping Siam up every time, while dropping China, then Aztecs, then Songhai TWICE.

1) Glassmage, go play Songhai, k? Weakest? Really? hmmm....
2) Then, limit yourself to the same number of votes everyone else takes. (Or less, I choose not to vote again (ie, only voted once), but don't spam your favorite.)

There are already plenty of threads regarding best civs, strongest civs, the civs you play most etc. I don't feel any compulsion for voting for the civ which is strongest, it should be the one which you like. Even then you can still vote for a weak civ just to have some fun. ;)
And I think voting once every 24hrs would be fine.

I was bent because he voted four times in less than 24 hours, and of course because he pinged my favorite dudes two of those four times.

I, too, think voting once every 24 hours would be fine. If someone doesn't, what say we remove his votes? Because, of course, he didn't vote for my...er... I mean, because it's cheating, and if one person does it anyone can do it, right?

Also - My second vote (where I also subtracted Glassmage's second, third, and fourth votes) got missed, probably because I did it in an "edit".

I'm cooking, can't sit and do the math again right this sec, someone should fix...

Moderator Action: Yes, please remember that making multiple votes in a 24 hour period is both against the rules of the game and is considered spam.

Arabia:10 (-2)
France:16 (+1)
Japan:13
Persia:9
Siam:17
Songhai: 14

The rule of the game is really interesting: each time, the sum of the point decrease by one, so we WILL have a winner in at least 78 rounds.
it's totally imaginable to have all civs remaining in the next 72 rounds, but highly unlikely...

Here's my vote for today's 24h period - it's not quite 24H since my last vote (around 20H), but won't get another chance today. Sleeping in after the night shift! Sad that India is gone :(

Arabia: 9
France: 13
Japan: 14
Persia: 9
Siam: 17
Songhai: 15

Arabia really strikes me as the only mid-tier civ of those that are left...I'm quite surprised they've done so well, honestly.
But they are still very fun compared to France for example which gets plain bonuses (+2 culture, +4 strength musket etc).

Oh I felt sorry for you. Glassmage is relatively a new member so lets forget about it. But whoever does this again, mod will deal with him. :)

It's not a big deal.

And I'm not surprised your Arab boys are still in it, they are one of the typical "runaway" civs in my games. (Doing it now, as a matter of fact, thank God the AI is so stoopit...)

Let's do it properly!

There are a numbers of members here that are quite sophisticated in making polls and mucking around with programs. So if it was possible to make poll, with the 1+ and the 2- automatically was made as you hit enter.

Japan +1 and Egypt -2, and next person to vote sees these figures as in...NOW?

If you wanted to chose Japan as your Fav, but they just died in the last poll result, they would be unavailable for votes, because they are "dead".

I'm sure I've seen polls like this, but can't remember when or where, so would it be possible to figure out a poll like this?

Just sitting in my square box and looking outside of it. :)

I sure hope the last post was correct :)

I wouldn't say he tried to cheat even in paragraphs, aatami!

I sent my second vote in and was lagged and I saw that my numbers wasn't even close to before, so I just did an edit...by the number I thought was right - as Kevins.

So a little mishap in this organized chaos. :)
