Civ Fix 2-civ teams

On to Ken one more time;) Good Luck with those :borg:

The Great War is now practically over. At T77 the Sumerian Legion was ready to pay back the razing of Ur in the First War of the Peninsula or we could call it the First Afro-Sumer war.

This started a war which was fought in quite a fast speed for the era. Sumerian Legion pressed on only keeping minimal breaks for absolutely necessary healings or bombardments. We conquered 8 and razed 2 cities in 25 turns. We haven't kept stats on our exact losses or enemy losses, the statistics screen shows also barbarian battles and fighting against AI civs. I think we have managed to fight at least fairly even and on some occasions even at a quite favourable rate when we caught enemy units in the open and had the collateral initiative. Naturally some other fights weren't that favourable; how can you do that for example against single (so no point using collateral) hill defending skirmishers? But AIs or barbs don't have skirmishers and impis and we can announce that we destroyed 23 skirmishers and 12 impis. Hopefully this gives you an idea what kind of resistance we faced.

Geez, but at what cost?!

Sumeria alone must have 50+ units, most out of their cultural zones for most of the time.

You have built some wonders, but have your cities got anything else in them?

Our last city has fallen. :(
Glad i counterattacked & took out several units before stones & elephants rained down upon our brave defenders. We fot the Sumerian Slime to a breakeven... but they just flooded in with more & more units.

Then they asked for a "Ceasefire"!? Why, oh great crusher of neigbors? So U can hunt down my exiles & execute them in 11 turns? Sorry, but our citizens captured in your rush across the continent will continue to revolt! Plus your citizens are probably rather "war weary", aye? :smug:

Our survivors are in exile awaiting other, nicer leaders to find us & receive our gifts. :scan: (Pss... just received a nice bunch of gold on final turn! Seems we collected a "Security Tax".)

Game Note: The end is near for my civs. Will need to replace me as game adminr.

What exactly are admin responsibilities? Securing that the game goes on and finding replacement in case of people disappear? Anything else?

That's pretty much it.
+ enforcing/ensuring 36-hour rule is adhered to.
+ Settling disputes &/or rules questions.

Don't actually know what happens when admin's last civ is elim'd. (never been here before)
Assumeg game passes duties to next player in rotation if there is no other action taken?

Turn is on to Ken and his guerrilla forces. :ninja: Good Hunting!

Mali has been elim'd. They ran down my helpless, harmless worker & slaughtered them! :aargh:
Down to Rag/Zulu. Perhaps because of this, Tracker is not acknowledging the end-of-turn upload. :dunno:

So attached herewith is latest (last?) turn for Zulu.

Will just post game admin p/w so whoever the mantle falls to will have.

Off to lick our wounds... but NEVER anyone's boots! :nuke:

I could be the admin, haven't tried that before :).

Edit: Do you mean the new admin would play/finish the last Mali turn you posted? Then me being admin would be a bit problematic as it would help me to locate your last units. On the other hand someone else would get a lot of map knowledge they didn't have.

I have an idea... just don't elim my last Zulu units & we'll be fine.

Meanwhile, is the game moving along despite me not being able to upload via Tracker?

I don't understand the problem exactly....

If you have two tribes, and your first tribe leader is the name in tracker, then the save should be able to come to you.

If your first tribe has been eliminated, then you would need to alter the name of your leader in tracker to be the name of your second tribe, so you can continue to receive sends.

If the save you are trying to upload is for the next player, I don't see why tracker would refuse this unless they too have lost their first tribe...

What is the name of the file you are trying to upload and pembtracker is ignoring ?

I must be missing something here...

Not sure why have you posted your own save as an attachment for someone to download ? (I am assuming GilgaWyn is yours ? )

In this game if we have two tribes, and only one entry in tracker, then the tracker entry has the name of our first tribe leader - as we started.

If you lose your first tribe, then you need to change the leader name in tracker to that of your second tribe, so you can continue to receive saves.

Don't see why your upload for the next player would fail until he too has lost his first tribe...

What is the name of the file you are trying to upload ?

Sorry, but i'm totally lost in this admin crap.
RagKen = Ragnar/Zulu, my 1st civ & 1 listed on Tracker.
GilgaWyn = Gilgamesh/Mali, 2nd & now destroyed civ

RagKen played turn & when ended it saved the file above.
Which i THOT i couldn't open since Gilga/Mali were destroyed during Sumerian move.

Just tried again. Mali turn opened up showing the exact same scene as the Zulu turn ended & since i couldn't do anything it was n/a.
But this time i forced the turn to end & walla!... it saved to ricketyclik. Uploaded that file on Tracker & game advanced (finally!).

Now, moving forward, is this what i'll have to do every turn until end of game? Or as U R suggesting, there is a way to cut out 2nd/destroyed/Mali civ for remainder of game?

SORRY for delay gents. :o Never lost before(!)... at least in a 2-civ game. :D

Anyone know what is happening with this ?

Turn has been with SITS a week ??

= = = = =

Also, I'm very puzzled by the RagKen / Gilgawyn stuff.

If these tribes have been eliminated they should disappear from the screen right side info where everyone's points score is listed.

However, in my last turn, both civs were still visible, which implies the game does not think they are eliminated yet. Are there any units left wandering around ? Did you opt for complete kills in the game options ?

If you think you're dead, but the game thinks you are not, only suggestion I can make is to retire to ai the next time the save comes around - if you get another save to open.

edit I can see Require Complete Kills option is set...

Note that it is a "Complete Kill" game. So both civs had survivors... but last Mali died last turn.

Zulu still has units seeking exile & freedom.

As for SITS... ?

We're rolling again... or should i say dying again. :(

Gifted last bit of gold the Gigla/Mali had to Wong/Spain & retired them rather than continue to "play" turns with no units & all that can be done is gift a little gold each turn.

Well done You vicious Finn conqurer.

Meanwhile the Ragnar's Zulu still survive & may actually have some good/interesting news soon(!). ;)

If U find me, don't finish me off until we see what happens with barb village. It may net your hordes another city to crush. :hmm:
