However, when loading the game it does not load the mod by default - it doesn't register it as loaded until I go into the Advanced-Load a Mod option to do so. I am still getting the diplomacy XML error messages and still not getting any of your creations on my leaders/civilizations options lists when trying to start a game.
I have installed the Diplomacy Fix file that was mentioned in your thread as well, but it doesn't seem to help any.
Thank you to you and your comrades for what has obviously been a monumental creative and technical effort!
Paul
Hi waywardclam,
Make sure you don't have a "double folder". In other words, make sure you've installed to "Mods/CIV Gold" and not "Mods/CIV Gold/CIV Gold"
Also, in the CIV "ini" file, you have to change "Modular Loading=0" to "Modular Loading=1"
I believe the diplomacy fix was for the Warlords version. You wouldn't need it now. Try deleting the folder and re-install. We are releasing the Final version in a couple of days with some additional fixes.
Update - been playing everything and it's absolutely FABULOUS. You guys rock.
Speaking as a Canadian, I want to make a suggestion for the next iteration (which obviously might not match your tastes, but here it is anyways...)
The Microwave Tower is an, er, *accurate* building, but IMHO it doesn't capture the essence/spirit of Canada, if you see what I mean. What about instead a unique building that replaces the Coliseum: the Hockey Arena, that functions as a Coliseum but also generates, say, 2 Culture per turn? I think that would be very much in line with one of the prime sources of Canadian identity and pride...

Either way, thanks again for all the work - this has multiplied the already high replayability of Civilization for me!![]()
I think if Canada's UB was to be a Hockey Arena then it should have a military unit XP bonus.![]()
Did you give any thought to the idea of a Voyageur instead of a scout?
My only disappointment is that I rarely play a game of Civ long enough to reach the development of either the Microwave Tower or the Canada Corps - by the time they can be built, it has long since become clear whether I have won or lost the entire game, and how successfully/badly... so I'm not going to get to use them a heck of a lot in actual games...![]()
