Civ V Hot fix released

I'm still getting those white lines on DX11, but on DX9 it's fine???

after this new patch came out, i can't seem to find a denmark. is this patch related?

I had to uninstall and redo from steam to get rid of the same prob.;)

Ditto, although my graphics issue may not be the same.

Post-Fall patch and pre-hotfix, I was able to play DX11 on both my home rig (fairly high-end graphics) and my traveling laptop (running low/minimum graphics). Hotfix came out while I'm traveling (happy Turkey Day to all!), and now I can't play DX11 on the lower-end laptop because someone has overlayed ugly colored multi-lane superhighways (or maybe stacks of steel rebar?) across my map. Screenshot attached, but the graphics bug applies whether I'm loading a large save or starting a new game. Runs fine in strategic view and in DX9, but I don't care for either.

Won't be able to try it on my home rig until Sunday, but would be nice to have a solution to this.

EDIT: I'll repost this in the tech suppoort forum.

I appear to be crashing even more in DX11. Perhaps I should try 9 again. Silly update made the game run better on DX11, but the hotfix makes it crashes more :P

I think there is a bug when playing mods offline following these steps:

1) delete cache
2) install mods via steam subscription and start a modded game
3) quit then restart steam offline
5) try to load modded save game

G&K will delete all the mods from the mods directory which then crashes windows 7 explorer.

I hope I don't lead anyone up a garden path but it has happened to me three times in the last hour.

Cheers

Great, guess we're almost where I'll take Steam out of offline mode and upgrade game. :)

No news on DLC yet. I'll check back every once in awhile. I was talking a bit in the other forums, and friends on steam. Everyone is wondering when they will announce something new. It probably won't be long. First they have to work out issues with the hotfix. Looks like we all have to be patient as usual.

I am probably being stupid, but why has steam not automatically downloaded this update or even notified me of it?

How do I d/l it (manually)?

Thanks

thanks - how do i check the version number? (Sorry, this is the only game i use Steam for)

The hotfix seems to have fixed the problem I was having with my workers forgetting what they were doing and needing to be re-tasked every turn.

I saw your post and it gave me hope, as a result I started my first full scale game for two weeks. Mine were working fine until I aproached an area near a City State that I had once been at war with and even though I am now at peace they are acting as though we are still at war. Unfotunately the nightmare persists.
I play vanilla and to be fair to the guys there is no mention of a worker fix in the notes.

I have noticed a very small bug? which was there before the last patch and is still there now after this hotfix (I think).

If you click on the player scores side bar and scroll up and down to see all the players you cant then zoom in and out of the map - whenever you zoom in and out with the mouse middle button it scrolls the scores. I click the main screen several times (which should shift it to zooming again) but it still scrolls the scores.

Basically I dont touch the scores side bar now for fear of that happening - its not really a problem but it is a bit annoying.

Unless Im missing something obvious?

^ Should go back to normal if you disable scorelist, go to the next turn (zoom if you wish), then enable it again.

something like that, I don't remeber how exactly it reads out but it's cleary a line of code that is showing up rather than the regular text that should. And also correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm almost positive a caravel does not get that promotion. I mean, it's a mellee ship so why would it?

The caravel does indeed get a "withdrawl from melee combat" promotion.
