Civ VII PC system requirements are now available!

That's amazing

So that technically means I can start a game on my Mac and continue on the steam deck when I travel for example?
Yes, it should assuming cloud saves are supported like Civ VI. Although cloud saves for Civ VI from the Mac were sometimes inoperable for long periods in-between updates. Hopefully it's someone other than Aspyr porting this time or Aspyr is more prompt in addressing issues with the Mac and iOS versions.

It’s not Aspyr. They’ve said it’s being done in-house. I believe that they’ve also said that the Mac release will be ready for release day.

This is correct. Inhouse and release on all platforms the same day.

Has anyone seen C7 in low-res or played at minimum specs on a PC?
Should I be prepared to be just disappointed or very disappointed?

I guess the Switch images we got are the closes we get to that from marketing.

My rig:
NVIDIA Ge Force GTX 1060 6BG

Intel Core i5-7600 CPU @ 3.50 Hz

15.93 GB RAM

My CPU and graphics card are slightly above the minimum requirements, so I think I should be ok to play the game relatively smoothly?

Similar.
GTX 1050Ti
I7-7700Q @ 2.8
Crossing my fingers...

Wonder if a GMKtec K8 Plus Ryzen 7 8845HS MINI PC will be able to handle Civ7 on 1080p setting. Just bought me one so there`s no way back :badcomp:

32gb ram, AMD780M graphics with external card as a future upgrade possibility

Your gpu is ca 70% faster than rx460 which is the minimum.

Ok, so I`m closer to medium? My hope is that a fast cpu + 32gb ram will do most of the work, and that the 1080p setting will make it run ok even at a "internal" 780M gpu based on what I see on youtube:

Well... 2060 is recommended and that one is 101% faster than your 780M. So I'd say in the middle of the two.

As has been tradition for me, I upgrade when a new civ game releases and I just got my new machine!:D

Hoping it’ll run Civ 7 on max settings, form what I hear from folks who have the game, it’s quite stable and well optimized.
AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 3.8GHz Processor
AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB GDDR6
32GB DDR5-6000 RAM
1TB + 2TBNVMe SSDs

(Did not cost an arm and a leg either.)

The specs are lower than I expected. A 1050 is positively ancient and extremely weak. I’m surprised that works for the minimum settings.
Just to remind you, AMD still sells the rx6400 which is a 4gb low profile GPU, and its
priced at 160 Eurs, like a AMD 460. The GtX 1050 is still more powerful than an rx6400...

4gb low spec is a lot if you compare it to just only civ VI min specs GPU, the jump is immense, still
many top gen consoles comes with 4gb vram ( Steamdeck has 4gb Vram? Or Switch?)

Hello everyone, please forgive me if my request bothers you, I am a 56 years old "Civ Fanatic" boomer since Civilisation III. :)

Do you think my iMac will be able to operate Civ 7 in "solo" mode?

Thank you in advance

It should run it somewhere a little above the minimum settings - your components are a little better than the minimum requirements, but closer to the minimum than recommended values :)

Possibly in Bootcamp mode? Intel macs are not officially supported.

There is no indication that MacOs version works with old intel based macs. So it does not work at all by default.

Edition: What that means usually that you need to get Windows running on your mac. I consider that bit advanced scenario...If you know what I am talking about you are propably good :)

Additional edit: As this game is available on linux too, bootcamp linux could do the trick too.

Ok, thank you all very much for your answers, I will try, and if it doesn't work I would go through Boot Camp! Thank you all.
