Civ6 Live stream in 12 mn (3PM EST)

Could be. Seems a little strange that the Civ Facebook page would announce that, however.

Not weird at all. Facebook and Twitter post pretty much the same thing and Quill is pretty much their Livestream guy.

He's not going to any Civ events, he's busy with that Heart of Iron game or wahtever.

Only gameplay footage counts as far as I'm concerned. Also why I prefer let's plays to reviews.

I am generally in the same boat, although I know a few people that won't buy a game until I stream it for the same reason. Granted I stream a lot of Early Access games, which as of late sometimes are better polished than the AAA stuff. :crazyeye:

New interviews are fine.

They aren't going to show a lot of gameplay other than that same 12 minute reel as it leaves them open to overanalysis and unintentionally revealing stuff they didn't want to show yet
It's going to be a slow drip on details and features until September when a select few gets near-Gold builds to play under NDA for the reviews and let's play rolls out.

Firaxis/2K doesn't really need E3 to advertise their games. Their fanbase is big but E3 is not the right venue.

So he's traveling to play HOI4? Sounds a little strange but ok. :)

Pete just tweeted that it is about to start and it is the Q/A

Civilization VI Live E3 2016 Q&A
The lead developers of Civilization VI answer your questions, live from #2KE3!
Mark Zuckerberg, Sangita DeVi, Jacob Olive Jovic and 493 others like this.

Is he a Civ player? :P

China is Emperor Chin, and likes to build Wonders, so if you have more he gets mad.

Cannot embark/disembark on cliff tiles. EDIT: Supposedly, there will be a way to "surprise attack" via cliffs!

Cliffs don't allow embarkation. Cool. :)

Ed Beach gave example of how diplomacy starts simple and becomes more formal later. He said that all civs start a game with "open borders" to represent how primitive empires are in the beginning. That will really change the early game. After the Rennaissance Era, Ed said that diplomacy becomes super formal but teased that they will reveal the big changes later.

trade route yields are calculated based on districts. Example, if you send a trade route to a foreign city with science districts, you will get more science, or more culture districts, more culture from the route.

chinese's ability to rush wonders with builders only applies to ancient and classical wonders. China also gets 2 unique abilities.

confirmed 1 ability is attached to the leader, aka they COULD support different leaders per civ that would have a different unique.

Unique districts for some Civs. :)
