Oh gosh… while it is annoying, I DO feel for them.
I remember one time I was a channel manager for a large utility company and I implemented what I thought was a small fix to our webchat to show customers a phone number and it somehow stopped all customers being able to contact us. That tiny change blocked thousands of customers a minute from getting through while I FRANTICALLY tried to figure out what happened.
So I have some real empathy for the poor intern currently scrambling to get a senior dev on the phone
