Civilization VII Dev Diary #1: Ages

Honestly, in my own games, I expect I'll want the AI to go with the historical choice for the first few games I play, but after that I think I'll probably prefer it not prioritizing historical options (or perhaps having an elevated chance but not a guarantee, that'd be nice) to make it less predictable.
If there is such a button, it probably still would naturally more likely than not pick the historical/regional options just because there are available for "free" while the others options would only be available if the AI happens to unlocks the requirements for some other civs, which may not happen to the same level as a player as it likely isn't programmed to actively pursuit them.

To have it vary a lot, would probably need an option to randomize the auto unlock civs for the AI each match.

Of course, this is all assuming the AI works like the player and has to unlock civs for next era. If it doesn't then not giving historical preference may mean it picks any of the ones the player didn't.
