oh you wanna go on the list too? ;)

I don't mind

you're already on mine

All - Truonian built the Oracle, but didn't get a free tech from it. Per this thread and a couple others in the multiplayer forum, there's a bug in the game and the player only gets the tech if they're logged in during the turn change.

I've reloaded the game from my most recent save in order to allow Truronian to stay logged in and get the tech, this will cause most of you to have to repeat one turn.

For what it's worth (and hopefully this doesn't need saying, but I'll say it anyway) I'd do this no matter who the player was that got the Oracle.

Warning - the same bug is in play for the player that gets Liberalism. Now that we're all aware of the bug, it is that player's responsibility to stay logged in on the turn change where that tech shows up. If someone gives me a warning that they're getting it on the next turn and can't stay logged in for whatever reason, I'll try to save at an appropriate time to minimize hassle on a reload, but no guarantees.

@IglooDude : all is good! Just to remind you guys from the LAoD that will only set your death back 1 turn :mischief:

@Ybbor: Its not the only knowledge I have :p

@Trurorian : The Oracle ..... That's where your going to hide when we invade ? ;)

Shoot. Slight technical problem; a thunderstorm has decended on Cornwall and the news is predicting power outages, so I won't be able to stay connected to CivIVor overnight. Would it be possible for the people who have yet to take their turns to not press Enter, so the turn change is forced to the morning when I can actually be logged on?

Alternatively I could switch to AI and hope that the computer choses the correct tech, although I'd rather leave this as a last resort.

The Oracle predicted that ?
remember
The Oracle only tells you what you want to hear.

That storm warning seems fishy :p

Heavy Rain
Affecting Devon
Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect the area today. These will give localised torrential downpours, with totals up to 40mm in places. The thunderstorms are also likely to be accompanied by large hail and gusty winds. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the 'Highways Agency' for further advice on traffic disruption on Motorways and trunk in England and 'Traffic Wales' on road conditions in Wales. Warning valid from 02/07/06 1100 to 2100

Westcountry News said the whole South West would be affected, and that power outages could be a problem (we've had one already). I just don't wanna lose a tech to mother nature .

Also, the Civstats web page isn't updating to reflect the reload, please ignore it for the moment.

For some reason I can't load the game. It says I have the wrong password.

I just logged on. all is ok password works!

next turn is up

The Great architects of Cornwall have constructed the Oracle!!!

Unfortunately, on completion a mad-man known only as Jesus started messying up the Oracle, declaring it as pagan. It seems that he has gained quite a following in the Cornish city of Penzance, and Christianity has been founded on his teachings. Scientists are dumbfounded as to how Christianity has been based on the teachings of Judaism when the Jewish people of the Decepticon empire have had no contact with Cornwall :hmm:. Research continues.

Cornish Infedels!

Your entitled to your opinion, although I think crucifying the Cornish messiah was taking things a tad to far...
