What about mods? DO you play any mods?
 
I am a huge WW2 era fan and was looking for a good WW2 mod ever since Civ 1. This mod may be interesting to you because you are from the same region!
 
I've downloaded the mod and placed it into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods" with all the other mods.

I get an error "gfc error: failed to initialize the primary control theme". The existing mods load with no problems.

I looked it up on Google and couldn't see a quick fix, any idea of whats wrong?
 
Yes, original is must. This is one of the most sophisticated scenarios in Civ 4 universe, for example Transports loose movement points after disembarking troops, to simulate difficulties with logistics... Definitely suggesting to play single player a little to get the feel.
 
I had a quick look. I'll learn on the fly, and I'm guessing there's plenty of time in between turns to learn. I've chosen Britain, and if it's anything like real life then I'll be up against it and relying on USA to help. I've noticed USA is only the west coast. I'm guessing production would be very high in the cities that are shown. By the way are you in, we need two more to get going.

Replied here. Still suggest you to play few turns -- some strategic decisions have to be made from the start. On the other hand we will be in constant email correspondence as allies, so I will help as much as possible.
 
Yeah sounds good. Don't worry I have a brain, should be good. One thing, you will have to step me through the fist couple of steps for email multiplayer so I know how we get going.
