Got it.

Who are we at war with, the Arabs? Do we plan a long war, or are we just trying for a certain objective?

If I wasn't too knackered, I think my intent was to beat the Arabs down, grab any lux that they have and we don't and expand into cleared territory. don't forget, we're in an alliance with Toku v. Abu. No WW to worry about.

Playing now. It looks like I have to pay attention to a lot of details, so I don't expect to play more than 5 turns.

OT - @ Sir Clive: if she's a 'keeper', sooner or later you're going to have to 'splain' yourself and C3C.

Finished playing (10 turns), I'll tell you about it tomorrow afternoon. We did capture a source of gems, though, but I don't think I handled the campaign too well.

First, I sure up some defense against possible Arab attacks. I begin the assault on Bagdad and level the city. The workers are freed from their capitalist opression and will be sent to our socialist work camps. Send some troops to attack Adun (and the gems) while the rest goes after Mecca.

Unfortunately, we have begun to get attacked by Arab Guerrilla fighters. Already, I am regretting splitting up our army. On turn 5, I begin getting reenforcements for the attack on Adun, I've moved some troops up from Balkh to help with the Mecca attack.

Arab Guerrillas continue to attack our forces, and our assualt on Mecca was repulsed. I loose a stack of cannons. We have researched replacable parts and start working on Espionage.

1605AD: The Mecca campaign has ended in failure. All our troops, including additional cannons and an army were destroyed. We also lost the workers we had previously liberated from Bagdad.

1625AD: All is not lost comrades. Our forces in the western Arab lands have succeeded in capturing Adun. We now can get access to gems, as soon as we build a road and harbor.

Troops are being massed in Balkh for another possible assault on Mecca. Infantry and Artillery should be included as well. There are two settlers, so we can raise and replace the cities. I think our production is far superior, and they don't have rubber, so there is no question we will win. I just hope this win will be soon.

Im back, damn germans had me pinned down in a foxhole and had to fight my way out with my grenades and rifle, btw thin mints girl scout cookies are pretty good

@ YG87 - I've been usurping Clive's perogatives since he appears to be smitten. Why don't you go after SC? Did you use the bayonet to escape?

Yes, Stone wall Jackson was my field instructor at west point and he thought me the power of the bayonet, unfourtunatly my bayonet didn't make it through the fight

Sorry all - got dragged away last minute to go to a party in Brimingham (150 miles north of here) which meant I was away for the whole weekend.

I'm back in circulation and although I am out almost every night next week I should be able to fit in a few turns any night so let me know what the revised roster is. I'm quite happy to jump in after AK unless anyone else is ready to play
