Community Patch Events Development

Seems like most of it still work, but some events give unanticipated results. For example Fountain of Youth says it gives +3 food to aqueducts, baths and grocers, numbers for buildings change, but you get food granted by events subtraction, so it just +1 base food. Also some other events give minor different results
 
Hello! Loving the mod: adding a lot more granularity to each match.

I'm settin up a little imgur album which'll contain images of typos and sentence structure which I've fixed for your convenience (dunno if this mod is even being worked on, but what the hey!)

Edit: ---- eh, with more playtime it doesn't feel as ridiculous as I thought. I should've held off on that. Actually, the events are proving to be really well made, in my opinion. Especially enjoying the NW events

I assume randomchance means 3% chance to happen each turn? What is the delta?

Editeditedit: If I could report a bug: the Mourning Warrior promotion that an Iroquois event gives is giving food-on-kill not to my capital, but to another city (near a NW, if that helps)

Edit*4: distress.png I believe this is an event from this mod! Outdated mechanics? I don't think cities experience unhappiness from lack of defence anymore?

RandomChance refers to the # of times it appears in a table to be selected from. The RandomChanceDelta increases the RandomChance from 3 to 4 to 5 to 6 as long as the event was not selected when the eventmanager was asked to select an event.
 
I'm confused. Is this mod included into Vox Populi already? I don't think I have ever encountered a civ-specific event, let alone a wonder or an advisor event, yet some of the events described sound familiar...

No, it's not part of base Vox Populi at the moment. VP has some events in it, this adds more unique events.
 
Anyone knows how to fix "invasive species" event also knows as EVENT_AES_FOREIGN_PLAYER_BAD ?? I keep having this event and it ruins my games everytime since the cure option never appears and im stuck with -1 food on every farms all long

You can disable its EventProbability or whatever that tag is listed as to 0 or -1. RandomChance and randomChanceDelta I believe?
 
If anyone is interested in a few fixes based on the latest VP versions (5/5) you can replace the standard XML folder from this mod with the one from the zip-file. Made for personal uses - I hope noone minds me uploading it.

Oh! I did that too! Do you want to see my changes? I'll attach the relevant pages from my Changes Journal so you can see if yer interested. I also took your XML folder and added my changes to it, just in case you might be.

I swapped out the .xml files but it seems like I'm missing this file...

...where would I go about finding it?

I've tried creating a generic .dds file with the same name, but I'm still getting the "unable to load texture" error.

Hi hi rsc2a!^^ Did you actually use that XML I posted? Wow, that's so cool! :) And it even worked for you? That's so rare for one of my creations. I'll keep updating it for you!
 
Its unplayable for me. After 40 turns my improvement maintenance cost start to increase every turn.
 
Are there plans to update this to the 2.0 VP mod? To my untrained eye, it looks like it's dependent on the (5) More Luxuries mod, which doesn't exist anymore.
