Community Patch - How To Install

Precisely which DLC would I need to buy? Weren't some of the DLC leaders/civs later added in G&K and BNW?

Hi there. I'm completely new to Civ V modding but this project has peaked my interest.

When I go to activate the mods in-game after using the automatic installer, the version of Civ IV Diplomatic Features that shows up is version 10. Is the automatic installer installing an old version of this specific mod or is this just a mistake? Version 11 looks to have some cool features and I want in on these :)

Unfortunately this doesnt help. I even tried deleting the entire LUA folder and im still not getting the icon toolbar where you'd find espionage, congress, etc.

What am I doing wrong?

Try clearing cache afterwards. The problem is with the NotificationPanel - if it still doesn't work, then you can always disable the folder in EUI, so that you've got something.

Thanks for the quick reply. I assume you mean \My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache ? Unfortunately that doesn't work.

It's a shame because that additional information drop down is a pain in the ass. I wonder whats caused it...

That is actually half contained within the NotificationPanel and half contained within the DiploCorner files.

Hi there.

I've got the mod pack installed (default full install), I own all Civ5 DLC, and I don't have any other mods active. I go through the new game set up options and when I try to start the game I get a straight crash to desktop.

Note: if using standard EUI with just the Community Patch (the 'Core' Installation), there's one additional step. Delete the following files from the Community Patch/LUA folder:

CityBannerManager.lua
CityBannerManager.xml
CityStateStatusHelp.lua
DiploList.lua
ProductionPopup.lua
YieldIconManager.xml
YieldIconManager.lua

If I install only community patch and community balance patch should i delete this files?

I installed via the auto-installer.
Validated everything per Estabanium's instruction manual.
However - when I start Civ V and go to the Mods menu... only CSD shows as an option.
There are a bunch of other mods there, but the other 5 pieces of the Community Patch are not.
All 6 pieces are in the Mod folder. EUI is in Assets>DLC
Only thing I noticed is that my Civ V is installed into
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\MODS

I did change the install location to this address, and all of the parts did load into this folder.
Any assistance is appreciated
thanks

Hi, I'm having a little issue since reinstalling this. I had a look around the thread but cant see anything.
I've installed via the automatic updated with EUI and all 6 options are listed when I start a modded game. However none of the effects seem to be working. All the civs only list the default effects/units etc. Once I'm in game its all stock (aside from EUI is working)
I have installed all the civ 5 dlc and packs (well assume its all, steam shows all ticked).
I ran the installer again and still just the same.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks

Me? English (uk). Only thing different to previous installs is I've upgraded from win 7 to 10.

Hey guys, I have two questions. Firstly, does this patch fix the "sound loop" bug?
Secondly, is there a way to install the community patch as DLC so I can go on hunting achievements? Thanks.

Probably a commonly repeated question, so I appologize for that ahead of time, but after getting a successful install message, how can I check easily in-game that it indeed has been applied?

If you go to your MODS menu, the mods should be there.

See the modpack thread elsewhere in the subforum.

Topic is almost self-explanatory: I have downloaded and run the installer—having chosen Full Community Patch Project (including EUI). The installer finishes without error. Starting the game and navigating to MODS menu where I attempt to activate each component in order:
• (1) Community Patch
• (2) Community Balance Patch
• (3) CSD for CBP
• (3UC) 3rd Unique Component (v 7)
• (4) Civ IV Diplomatic Features
• (4UC) 4th Unique Component (v 10)
• (6a) Community Balance Patch – Compatibility Files (EUI)
Component (5) More Luxeries does not appear in the mod list.

Note: in the MODS folder (5) More Luxuries exists.

Looking for a solution to get past this bottleneck.

While mods menu is open in civ, remove and re-add More Luxuries to your MODS folder.

Okay. That worked; I now see (5) More Luxuries and I am able to activate it.

Now I have a new (perhaps related) problem. I have activated components 1 through 5. But the last component (6a) Community Balance Patch – Compatibility Files (EUI) cannot be selected/activated: Mod is missing required dependencies.

More help, please.
