Completely Dumb Ideas

Let's get back to the main topic.

Since SEA isn't crowded enough, I'd do three proposals:

- Champa civ (fighting the Khmers and spreading hindhuism)
- Singapore civ (a nice late-game one city challenge)
- Lao civ (Idk very much about this one)

And if there is still room, let's bring up the Philippines as another late game civ. And maybe Fu-nan as well? We'll see.

Careful, the Dutch are gonna get another TC stack if they hear you planning to raise the SEA level like that.

While that would be nice―and as much as I want to see this too―1898 looks too late, and I'm not even mentioning 1945. And in the former, in DoC terms it would be a vassal of America with -1 negative attitude. But this could work as a late game civ with a pretty quick UHV, like many of the ancient civs, just at the other end of the timeline.

EDIT: I somehow forgot it's the Dumb Ideas thread.

I was about to suggest a submod implementing the most cloud****oolander suggestions (like Expansist map, Egypt starting in America near Memphis, the map being actually flat etc), but it turned out Expansist already released a scenario with his historically accurate map that doesn't distort reality (also entire Western civilization is represented as the Roman Empire).

Egypt starting in America near Memphis
This gives me a great idea.
Every single civilization spawn in America.

Egypt in Memphis, Tennessee.
France in Paris, Texas.
Russia in St Petersburg, Florida.
HRE in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Spain in Toledo (finally something more accurate), Ohio.
Phoenicia/Carthage in Utica, New York.
Prussia in Berlin, Connecticut. (or Bismarck if you want something more fun)
Rome in Rome, New York.
Greece in Athens, Georgia.
Mexico in Mexico, New York.
Colombia in Bogota, New J.

Honestly? An RFC-style mod based on a North America map and all of these civs spawning at their historical spawn dates sounds hilarious and potentially really fun.

I'm most fascinated by the way you pronounce "windmills" - it almost sounds like "windmeals" (which I imagine to be meals for the wind).
Well they do give an extra :food:, don't they? ;)
