Thanks
I try to read them with a lot of weight and drama.I can't think of any Dawn of Man texts that I didn't enjoy and thought needed a rewrite. And looking back at a few of them, I realized that most (all?) of them set the mood for what their UHV entails: Greece mentions new ideas of philosophy and warfare, Harrappa will become the most widespread and populous civilization, Egypt will establish a culture the world has never seen before, etc. So they're fine.Hm. That just further increases the pressure on me when writing these blurbs when I already think they don't always measure up. It's difficult.

Are you aware that AIs can make miracles?Hm. That just further increases the pressure on me when writing these blurbs when I already think they don't always measure up. It's difficult.

That's good to hear. I always try to reflect bits of the upcoming gameplay in these but sometimes I wonder if it's too contrived. This is probably just a consequence of writing a lot of them in sequence and wondering if they are all the same. There are only so many ways you can say "this region of the world didn't have anything going on but now there's trade and cities so now there are these guys". But it seems to work out. I found the 600 AD and 1700 AD blurbs a lot easier to write because they can start from a more concrete historical situation.I can't think of any Dawn of Man texts that I didn't enjoy and thought needed a rewrite. Oh right, I will make a note for those. It's probably all the new civilizations. And I'm sure you're aware, but this talk reminds me that there are a few civilizations which still need a personalized "We have received reports that the dawn of the X civilization is upcoming."

Try to input all your previous blurps into ChatGPT, than tell it what you want it to write about (UHV, strengths and weaknesses, etc). Than read and rewrite it to your taste and style.
I'm doing this for example to write a novel for my wife. Some parts I write myself but others I delegate to the AI than rewrite.
No offense, but I respect both myself and my audience more than to do that. I do this as my hobby and to have fun and I would rather delete this entire mod before handing any aspect of it over to the revert to the mean mediocrity hallucination machine. Are you aware that AIs can make miracles?

La li lu le lo la li lu le loThe AI is a tool that can make life easier if used properly. It will never replace human creativity but can help on expanding it. The calculator didn't make mathematicians obsolete, nor did the programs like Paintshop and GIMP make graphical designers obsolete. Tools I not good or evil, just tools.
But I don't want to change your mind. I respect your point of view.
I just wanted to say that it can be a useful tool to lift some burden from your shoulders![]()
