Sometimes my computer just crashes/restarts, without any sort of warning. In the middle of a civ game, or homework it will just suddenly restart, and it's very annoying.

I'm runnning Windows XP Professionel.

Please help me:cry:

Did you upgrade recently?
Is the computer custom or factory made?
Have you added (or removed) any applications or tweaked the computer before the problems started?
Make backups immediately in any case. Consider calling tech support or reinstall the OS if all questions are no.

Most likely the comp is bluescreening but you're not getting to see the error. Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>System
Go to the Advanced tab
Click the Settings button by "Startup and Recovery"
Uncheck the option "Automatically Restart"

Then if you get to see a bluescreen, post the error here.

Also, Go to Start>Run and enter eventvwr.msc
Check under the System section and see if it's showing any warnings.

Could be that virius (from last year the resets the pc) ?

Computers restarting at random usually has to do with a problem with their power supplies.

Speedo- Ok I tried doing that.

homeyg- In that case, how do I solve my problem?

Well if that is the problem, you should replace your power supply with one that's more beast-mode. That shouldn't be the problem if your computer is name brand or factory built. I would Google for some type of program that lets you see the situation with your power supply.
