cool3a2s optimized hungarian leaderheads

I've uploaded the revised version of ekmeks version 1 of Kossuth, see post 1 for preview and link.

why would you do that? that leaderhead didnt even have moving arms.
Erm... maybe this is a case of misunderstanding. If I remember correctly, you said somewhere that the latest Kossuth you made was actually version 3 already. So maybe the version in question may be v2. Anyways, I'm aware of only two versions: the one based on Pericles and the one based on Cyrus. by saying v1, I was refering to the one based on Pericles. Also, the revised version is already online, see post 1, so you might know best which version this is based on.

In any case, I provided that version only because Absinthe requested it. I wouldn't have done anything with it or to it otherwise. The Kossuth that I will use, is the one you made as your last version (plus minor changes by me, also given in post 1). I like that one very much and I'd even say that it is the best of the 6 leaderheads that will be active in my mod by default (nitrams leaderheads will be there, too, but disabled by default as well as your older Kossuth). So don't worry. Well, we don't know what The Capo will come up with when he has finished is Árpád, but in any case, he'll have a hard job to top your Kossuth :goodjob:.

I'm going as fast as I can!!!
Don't hurry, relax! I have great respect for your work as well and I'll take the time to wait for your Árpád instead of causing some negative influence to it by hurrying you.

At the moment, I don't have time to continue my work. My Windows XP is gone and before continueing anything, I would need to fix that or switch with all programms to Windows 7. Also, I have sort of an interview for a job next week where I'm supposed to make a presentation that I need to prepare.
My last work so far, was retexturing my MTA (Hungarian academy of science) that was one of my very first buildings. The texture didn't use the space well, so I redone it having now a 256x256 pixel texture along with some minor changes to the model. I won't share this separately before releasing the next version of my Hungary mod, though.

Worked on Álmos:

Not the very best one, but I can't see what else I could do. Feel free to make suggestions. Thanks to Walter Hawkwood for the texture btw.

Actually I still don't really get the armor on Almos, but the leaderhead itself improved quite a lot :goodjob:

Wow, you've redone, and it is... PERFECT! It is the way it was meant to be created!Absolutely great
I'm truly happy to see you like it!

Well, I mght try to work on the shader of the part at the front (that was fur in previous versions) to make it more metallic. That could improve things.

BTW: I recognized that someone rated the revised version of nitrams (younger) Corvinus rather negatively. I don't take that personal, but I could imagine to return to it at some point, if I'd only know what people don't like about it.

I have no problems with the looks of the metal
Actually any metallic armor would look strange for me on Almos
Maybe it's just me, but I always pictured that the early hungarian leaders did not use similar metal armors, only leather ones

I see your point and I basically agree although I think that Hungarians as well as other peoples that lived under similar circumstances (like Huns for example) used whatever they could get. That means if they got some armor from their enemies, they certainly used it. But yeah, fur was certainly much more common. I could try another shot at this leaderhead that would use more fur. Yet there are few things that might be reused. I could use Sunni Alis body (that you have provided - thanks!) with different colours. I wanted to use that for a possible third hunnish leader anyways. I'd keep the head and the hat as is though. Besides of this, I'll upload this version this weekend in any case. Nitram likes it, so I wouldn't do it for nothing and Walter nevertheless did excellent work with the texture. So, the leaderhead might still be used, maybe as a different leader or as a source for resources.

I've uploaded Álmos, see post 1. Besides of this, I worked on Rákóczi. I mostly worked on the cape as you can see. I altered the colour to make it more reddish and more like it is on this image:
Spoiler :

I've also added some golden something to make the cape a bit more prominent / less ordinary. As I don't know if I will make further changes to the cape, I removed the inverted cape that would cover the gap at the back. In the final version, the gap will be closed again. Besides of that, I worked on the beard. Thoughts?

Much better :goodjob:
Both the new color, your "golden something", and the improved mustache adds to the overall quaility of the LH

Thanks Absinthe, I'm glad to see you like it. I haven't planned more changes yet, so I will wait a few days to give modders the chance to share ideas and if there are no suggestions, I will upload Rákóczi maybe wednesday.

So I have two previews to provide. First one is a possible setup of an alternative Álmos LH, the second is an early status of a third hunnic leader. Both use Sunni Alis / Zara Yaqobs body. Álmos seems to work, the hun has some clipping at the eyes and the hands. I should be able to solve the latter, not sure about the former though.

Both looks promising :goodjob:
What kind of hat do you plan for Almos?

I actually wanted to keep this one... I like it and I don't think that the hat itself is too heavily armored. I'm not so sure about the armor underneath the clothes - yet I'd need to retexture that part, but I'm not good at that. Someone volunteering? More opinions.

Oh, I thought that's your 3rd hunnish leader (the one that already has a hat)
I wanted to ask what do you plan for the LH on the left...

Just to avoid further misunderstandings: you got it right now, the left one is the hun and the right one is Álmos. I didn't have any further plans with the hat of the hun either. It's inspired by a (nontemporary) picture of Bleda and the way Ruga was depicted in a movie:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJGCXqblVy4&feature=related, from 7:50 on (hope this doesn't count as copyright violation, couldn't find any other source though, but feel free to remove the link if it is not fine with rights). As Huns are said to have skull elongation practised, I deformed the head a bit. That might have been hardly visible in the previous picture, this is an in-game preview I posted in ekmeks leaderhead guide thread:
attachment.php

The background is planned to be replaced with a yurt interious, but as I don't want to use the pictures I provided The Capo for Árpád to not use the same yurt twice, I couldn't find any picture I really liked. I agree that the leaderhead currently looks a bit boring. I was hoping that someone would volunteering to improve on the clothes texture and also thought about adding an earring. I don't want to add a hat as that would cover the cone-head.

As about my problems, I fixed the eyes, but have troubles with the fingers which is why I asked for help in ekmeks thread. The problem is basically that the fingers clip with the clothes.
