Well...reinserted the pediaicons.txt in the Cic 3/Conquest/text folder and reloaded the autosave...same error

to be exact:

missing entry in "text\PediaIcons.txt": Animname_PRTO_Hussar

Roland,

Went back and discovered the problem. I had captured Sun Tzu's in Berlin and had started building knights in the Leipzig, Berlin flipped back to Germany and Leipzig had no barracks then, to the horse would not upgrade.

Of course, Berlin is now back in my control and now the ex-horseman has joined his other knight buddies on a trip to Hamburg.

Open the file in Notepad and see if it contains the reference to PRTO_Hussar. If not then you are using the wrong file.

I just checked the pediaicons.txt shipped with the save file, and it does contain that line. Are you sure you are using this version of the pediaicons file?

If you mean the pediaicons.txt file swap, then the answer is no. If you install the modified file to play the Austrian game it will have no effect on other games, as it just contains extra lines of text that are ignored if there are no Austrians in the scenario.

Thanks for the welcome. I have been having a lot of fun playing the old Game of the Month's. I think I'm going to get dead last this month...

Next month my goal is to not get last

Ah...checked the file and it didn't contain the Hussar, which makes me conclude I installed the wrong file at the right place.
(saved the original on my desktop to keep for later and reinstalled it assuming to have made the swap)
