Great Asian War
The war which was expected to end this century was, to everyone's surprise, continued by Jasiran. Casting aside Koryo's treaty, Jasiranese special operations were engaged all across the Pacific, as far north as Nippon and Koryo. Through a combination of hired naval mercenaries, underhanded tactics, and superior sailing prowess, the Jasiranese handily repelled and destroyed the Koryoan expedition to Indonesia and maintained hold of the islands.

Then, engaging similar tactics exhibited two-hundred years ago, Jasiranese forces, disguised as merchants, snuck into several key Koryoan harbors. In three of these four instances the attack was a resounding success, for at the cost of the lives of many of the hired merchants, Koryo lost several ports to fire and battle in the streets, however managed to keep Seoul due to a lightning fast JugguhNOTaught response. One of the cities lost was the legendary and oldest Koryoan city which housed the ruler during the Koryo-Xenshin War. All across Koryo, Nipponese and Koryoans alike call for the death of the Jasiranese terrorists, and retribution to be exacted upon them. With Jasiran Macken Ships guarding several key locations throughout Indonesia, a campaign against them may prove fruitless, however, and some of Koryo's moderates warn against action outright.

In all the chaos, the island of Singapore also turned itself over to Jasiranese control, pledging fealty to their superior culture, causing many Imperials in the Philippines and Indochina to answer the call of duty. (-3 economy, -1 jugguhnotaught, -1 iron fleet for Koryo, +1 militia for Empire)

From Wu Empire
To Stupid Traitorous Lying Scum of the South

We had all finally ended a great war, settled down and prepared to make our greatness greater and you have to go and spoil the party. Well you'll get what's coming to you and your people and have no one to blame but yourselves.

To Madagaskar

We had intended for you to begin trade with us now that Asia was calm again, but now we have these liars to the south disrupting the peace. We will still welcome goods from your land if you choose to send them anyway.

Special Report: The National Army

Roman1.jpg
A group of Trainees of the National Army, at the end of this regimen they will be the one of the toughest, smartest and strongest Fighting group of men in the world. They certainly cost the most.

The National Army of the Union of European Peoples, was formed in 1623 A.U. by a group of Partisans. These are no normal Partisans: These are merchants who accepted training at the start of war. Their party ranging from 30-50 at that time they have traded as far south for the Union as the Zulu Capital itself and marveled at their Blackhouse. By themselves they have continued to the Empire of Rising Sun, Jarisan and Koryo. Although one of them was disillusioned with his income and was hired by Jarisan for an unknown purpose, the rest marveled at the JuggahNOTaughts as they whip up their Iced Cream in their cranking machines.

Returning home, they wrote a book called “Proffessionalization of Armies and Benefits” and pertains to the benefits of Professional Armies, or armies either with a Quality of Tartessos or as much cost as a JuggahNOTaught. They also preached if both Training, Ingenuity and Maneuverability were combined, leading to a strong formation that can change at will.

After a few years from the Publication at 1619, they decided to take matters into their own hands. Gathering money from their vast travels they hired A Thousand men and trained them hard according to their ideas and armed them with a Mixture of Tartes Alligator/Toledo Steel and Unionite Iron. In a war game with blunted weapons and rules, these few had lead to a surrender of their Opponent Force in the exercise, having nearly 7 thousand surrender as their friends are tagged out. A year after that, the Government decommissioned the partisans and Commissioned the National Army as we know it today.

To Tartessos:
From The Hellenic Republic:

Why do you find it necessary to incite revolt, my old ally from the carthigian wars? We are good friends, surely you do not wish to disrupt our amiability. We would like to extend another offer to you as well. We control what will soon be a crucial amount of trade coming in thru the Aegean and Black Sea. What say you to accepting me into the European Alliance? We could use your help in the eventual fight against the easterners, and vice versa.

- Get 7 Legions.

Military Orders:
- Have 7 iron armies pour into Texin and outright conquer it while they are away fighting Florida.
- Have all possible fleets, 14 if possible, smash their way down the Mississippi through any Louisian fleets. Then quickly transport 5 armies and 2 Legions to both of Louisian's cities and take them, then have 3 armies mop up the mess while the other 2 armies return home to defend the homeland. The 2 Legions should go where needed afterwards, this can be Tampa, Orlando, Texin. Note: if the conquering of Louisian doesn't go well initially, divert the 3 armies attacking Caroline to Louisian to help out.
- Meanwhile, after the fleets have gotten control of the Mississippi, have as many fleets as possible load up 5 legions and sail to Tampa and quickly conquer it using the element of surprise. If losses are light(like no losses), then secure Tampa and invade Orlando.
- Have 3 armies attack Carolina, but these can be diverted to other efforts if need be.
- If some fleets have to stay in the Pacific, have them explore a way across to Asia.

Amon, if you read NWAG's NESwiki article, you would've expected it.

@Crezth- Ok, you've gotta be crapping me. He burnt 2 cities down to the ground with THAT ARMY!? What the hell were my JugguhNOTaughts doing!? I left forces behind just for this occasion. How the hell wouldn't a giant influx of Jasiran ships comeing around raise an eyebrow or five? Unbelieveable.

OOC: Can't say I'm surprised, NWAG. You've just sealed your coffin... Again.

To:Wu
From:Koryo

We march forward to strike Jasiran dead.

To:Empire of the Rising Sun
From:Koryo

You, Wu, and I are going to put Jasiran out for good. You dig?

Oh yes. We "dig"

Leaving this.

EDIT: I'm not sure whether to side with Amon Savag or Crezth on this one, but so that information is equal I will share what my plan was. (BTW, I call this the Merchant Trick)

-Hire ordinary merchant ships (I assumed trade would continue informally between Koryo and Jasiran), who will act under the pretext of ordinary trade (they will be traders who habitually go there)
-Have the merchant ships continue normal trade for a day, while the army hides in the cargo hold
-At midnight, have the army launch a suprise attack on the city.

Diplomacy:

From: Jasiran
To: Koryo

Despite everything we have tried, it seems our bag has run out of tricks. I hoped the Wu Empire would not be interested in a war that strengthened their great rival- I was wrong. We know we cannot suceed with another ruse- none of us rulers of Asia are idiots. Therefore, we are willing to accept the following terms of peace.

-Jasiran will become a vassal of Koryo
-Jasiran will cede Singapore, Java, Bornea, and Sumatra directly to Koryo
-Jasiran will pay a tribute of 3 Gold per turn in perpetuity
-Jasiran will turn over it's army to Koryo

From: Jasiran
To: Wu Empire

We were simply trying, like yourselves and Koryo, to wrap up the conflict and make peace terms. Since the Empire of the Rising Sun was now a vassal of Koryo, we applied to them for what we desired. We were willing to have diplomatic discussions on the matter.

Our territory was threatened by the demands, and we defended ourselves in the best way we could. That is the way of the world- we have been agressor powers at times ourselves. But we should not be condemned for it.

Stories:

The Foundation of the "Great" Universities:
In 1100 BC, the city of Qyamultus (in OTL New Zealand) was looking for it's "place in the sun". Presidents had traditionally favored the "Northern belt" cities (the cluster of cities in the Northern Territory), despite the increasing economic strength of the Empire outside it. This was soon to change, but they had no way of knowing that.

After a corruption ring of expenses-paid trips to Taihiti ("fact-finding missions") was exposed, they finally got down to the buisness of dealing with this. Low on funds, they decided to appeal to the belief in the value of education of the President of the day (President Rone-Clarus) and found a University.

In Jasiran culture, the idea of a University was quite different from what it was elsewhere. The idea was that it was a place for men to learn to become polymathic Scholars- skilled in history, philosophy, military tactics (traditionalists advocated these being land tactics, while radicals argued for naval), and administration. Using these skills, they would go on to become important servants of the State.

The Qyamultans at first failed in their objective. Rone-Clarus heard of the development, but while wishing them luck was mostly indifferent. The Mayor's funding was often cut, and he was forced to travel overseas to offer Credits and reserved places in exchange for much-needed cash.

Worse, there was a series of legal battles. The northern island of Terrion (as it was called) had been an experiment of a President from hundreds of years before- offering the land to the warriors of the Expedition to make them fight harder. They refused to sell it, so almost everything in practice was rented by others- including the whole of the city.

But several factors would ultimately allow sucess against these problems. First, the death of Rone-Clarus and the sucession of Clarus II. Clarus II was even more enthusiastic about education then his father, and confiscated the land. This would trigger a rebellion, but it would be put down- and it gave much needed publicity to the University.

Second, the Mayor was permitted to fund practically all the city's budget into the project (making the city's citizens starve, incidentally. For a time, students in the university could hear babies crying to death outside.). This allowed him to hire the best educators from all over Jasiran to his school with promises of traditional teaching and complete control of the cirriculum.

Third was his ability to attract both radicals and traditionalists by having night courses to allow for students to learn both. For a time the solution was despised by the radicals, but they eventually came to tolerate it- after all, it would give them traditional credentials.

Eventually, Qyamultus would be said to have the greatest university in all of Jasiran...

I am taking the nation I created, Betal Dare

From Wu Empire
To Jasiran

You will not simply flee into the arms of my ally. I will have some of your lands as recompense for this insult. Also you fail at observation as Wu and Koryo have been allied for centuries.

We demand you turn over New Zealand to us. Return Singapore to the Empire of the Rising Sun, abide by the lands agreed to be turned over to the Rising Sun per the original Treaty.

@Crezth - Ignore orders sent will resend new set.

To Betal-Dare

We would like to cement our friendship through opening trade. If you wish military assistance in your war please send a PM.

OOC: Jasiran and Koryo never had formal trade relations, so any amount of trade beyond the petty merchant ship here or there should have raised an eyebrow. Plus, 3 JugguhNOTaughts were left in defense of my homeland, 1 going to take the lands promised in the treaty, the others went expanding (Look at the nice shiny new chunk of land I have now :D)

To:Jasiran
From:Koryo

You are right, there's nothing left in the playbook. Wu and Koryo have always been allies, and your little ploy have brought us that much closer. Koryo demands all that you have offered, in addition to New Zealand being handed over to Wu.

Koryo will then give the Empire of the Rising Sun pre-war borders. Koryo has already done a great deal for the Empire of the Rising Sun since they've become our subordinates.

Even if you accept this deal, me and my allies are prepairing for total war. We will not be fooled again. We of koryo are about to make 18 classical age navies. If there was one time where you ever thought to yourself "Maybe I shouldn't . .. .. .. . with this guy", that time would be now.

To:Wu
From:Koryo

Don't let your guard up if these guys agree to peace.

OOC: I may be biased (though you probably are too), but unless the JugguhNOTaughts were split between the cities I should have been able to take at least one. Also, I PMed Crezth before sending the ploy and he agreed that informal trade relations would start over time.

From Jasiran
To Koryo, Wu

We know we cannot win- your power is just too great. We will, under the mandate of force, accept these terms.

OOC: I did have them spread throughout the cities. informal trade relations, sure.. As I said, the occasional merchant ship from jasiran showing up at the ports, fine... A huge fleet of merchant ships capable of carrying an army of soldiers would DEFFINETLY raise an eyebrow.

To: The Hellenic Republic
From: Tartessos

We know of those revolts in your territory, our old ally. However, none of them have been caused by us directly. It's possible that, indirectly, we might have caused it, but it's mostly a consequence of the proverbial lack of culture you and your people display, especially when compared to ours.

As for your acceptance in the European Alliance... We would be perfectly willing to accept you into it, but I fear that I would find myself in a conundrum if you decided to fight against Abalonia, for we have already signed a Military Protection Pact that would force me to fight against you, yet with you being my ally I would have to fight on your side. Please, do not try to fight either Abalonia or any of the African nations, as they are under said Pact.

OOC: Orders and story coming.

EDIT: OOC2: Who got the Teutonia Beer Wonder? The UEP or Tartessos?

EDIT 2: OOC3: Does the effect of the Parthenon also affect through the sea, or it's only through land?
