Well, because I am a bad EUII player (always get lots of infamy and inflation), it would be fun playing a mega-campaign, but it will be very strange playing CKII to EUIII, because of the HRE, does it exists in CKII?

BTW, have anyone of you united the HRE? I find it impossible, I just enacted the Reichreform, and that is all.

They finally seemed to be taking steps to nerf the Muslim expansion into weird areas silliness by delaying Jihads until 1187, but I don't think it's enough. Frankly though I usually play with mods now to keep things (relatively more) balanced, but what not.

Only five years? Don't you lose a lot of monthly piety?

You lose piety while the gates are open but if you keep on trying, it will close. My 18 diplo heir was worth much more than some piety that can easily be won back in holy wars.

Sure, you can get it back easily, but +5 learning and a bit of raised opinions doesn't seem like it's worth the cost if it's only for 5 years.
