Crusader Kings 2

I might pick it up now if it were that price or cheaper. I'm planning on playing more KSP and finishing up some other saves first, though, I have too many games going at once.

Checking the US steam store it says $5 for me, and a dev diary reported a 5,99 suggested retail price. If it's actually being sold for $10 I would feel seriously ripped off.

He meant CK2 itself was on sale for $10, not LoR. LoR is $5. CK2 was the daily deal that day.

Crusader Kings 2 is on sale at gamefly right now for $10.

It should also be on sale later on at other places, such as the steam holiday sale, for $10 - with SoI for most likely $2.50 and L0R for probably $1.25. If you don't have at least $10, then either you are so dirt poor you are a hobo, or, if you're living with your parents, your parents are extremely strict (as mine were... until I was about 18 or so) - I doubt anyone here is both, so buying the game while it is on sale is extremely affordable.

I'm playing Skyrim right now and I really only get to play video games for about 4 hours a week these days, so I'm comfortable waiting for a Thanksgiving sale. Besides, game should be a bit more patched up by then.

One dollar is equal to more than 2 nuevos soles, but I will stop talking about privateers and corsairs.

If this isn't voluntary, I volunteer to help you scheme.

I was just going to tell him to buy a DS so not much.

+0% plot power? :D

(speaking of which, what is the point of such backers?)

Sometimes you have plenty of plot power on your own, but need a second conspirator to make it work.
I can't remember if the co-conspirators gain an increase in opinion after a successful plot, but that could be useful.

Just beat the HOF Martial score record :D

^Ah, that's nothing. I had a courtier in one game who had 31 or 32 martial (can't remember). Other than that though I think I haven't seen anything higher than 28 for martial... yet.

HOF requires that it has to be your character IIRC though ;)

Is it possible of making sort of a "mega campaign", I mean, playing CKII (with muslims), then EUIII DW, then Vicky II and finally Hearts of IronIII? If it's possible, i will "buy" them all of them today!

They were possible in older iterations of the series (CK->EU2->Vicky->HoI2), however the problem with these megacampaigns is that generally they soon get very boring as usually by the end of even 1 game the human player has gained such an advantage over the rest of the world that subsequent games just become dull.

I'd assume the only games that would be interesting to carry-through would be the games where the human player didn't close in on a world conquest and acquire so many bonuses it would be impossible to fail.

The one I would be most interested in is the Victoria II -> HoI3 converter (because it really fits the role of the cataclysmic finale), but they moved that under the shroud of the HoI3 mod section of the Paradox forums.

It doesn't necessarily have to be WC. The mere presence of a human controlling a country for several hundred years is going to skew the overall situation into his advantage in the transfer.

Massive treasury and every building and upgrade?

Actually, one of the NPCs will probably take over half the map.

I can see that; it would depend on how the converter is set up and whether the player knows how the converter is set up to maximize benefits on transfer. In any case, I want to take my united Scandinavia, stronger Spain and Greece, and more interventionist USA into HoI3.

You dont even need that. You can more or less tipp the whole game during the CK2 timefrime, in EU3 you would conquer Europe and the New World, in Vicky 2 there wouldn't be anything challenging left.

I once converted a Vicky 1 game into HoI2 and ended up with 1000 IC (without abusing anything). ;)
