Crusader Kings 2

I made her my spymaster because she was brilliant. The Parisians weren't pleased when they caught her :(

As I indicated, I made Connor in ruler designer, so that's the dynasty name and coat of arms for you.

I had no idea what I was doing but obviously did something right. Everybody loves him.

I suggest taking one more county so that you can become King of Ireland.

Oh, that goes without saying ;)

Jhazeirad? Did you just slam on the keyboard or is there something behind that?

There really needs to be a way to pay for other people's ransoms.

It's an RPG dynastic line I've had for over a year now.

OMG I love this game. Start as Scotland then move to become England then become Roman Emperor lol. I already killed Norway. Now on to Denmark.

You seem like a natural.

Have to second that.

I never really blobbing because I focus too much on roleplaying and arranging marriages. I just end up giving extra kingdoms to younger brothers or cousins or nephews or uncles or something and end up with one big happy family in Europe.

How does one focus on arranging marriages? They may take you 30 minutes but that really shouldn't interfere "normal" gameplay because of the pause button.

I'm always on the lookout for potential brides and grooms for my worthy courtiers.

But really I don't play the blobbing game. Never appealed to me much. Too much to micromanage, not enough time arranging good marriages for good courtiers and bad marriages for bad courtiers and/or trying to marry off other children/siblings/distant cousins to heirs and establishing family "colonies" over Europe.

Oh.

I only bother marrying my family, council, and geniuses/attractive people.

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to do these days.

Except then I see that kind, virtuous courtier who's all lonely and unmarried and then I can't really resist the urge to find him/her a good spouse.

It would bother me less if they actually got married on their own. Asshats can't think for themselves, so why should I have to do it for them?

Would be awesome if courtiers would occasionally approach you requesting permission to marry someone in particular, then get an opinion bonus if you accept. Seems pretty simple to implement too.

My daughter was betrothed to a certain duke of Brittany for five years, and as soon as they marry he dies in a suspicious accident. She comes back home two days after she left. Annoying :\

Was it matrilineal?

If so, murder the entire court.

Is your score calculated by the entire dynasty (both playable and non-playable characters) or just whay you as a player achieve?

Whatever you achieve, but I think your spouse's score gets factored in too for your heir.

Dynasty prestige gives characters personal prestige when born, so it actually does boost your score.
