Crusader Kings 2

As long as it comes with EU4 optimization I'm excited. If not, then running the DLC might make the game entirely unplayable for me.

I'd have thought that even Crusader Kings: Vedic Princes would have made for a better title, but I'm sure one of our resident Asians will be happy to slap me down for that idea.

120 years in, and I think I've done an okay job.

Honestly though this is probably the best I've ever done in this game. I've been absurdly lucky, and I have no idea how I managed to do everything so quickly. Especially considering I started as the count of Seville with a single province only 5 characters ago.

When is it not?

When Paradox lavishes attention on the appointment of the cousin of the nephew of the stablehand of the wife of the seneschal to some forgotten count in a minor HRE nation while ignoring anything east of the Ural, south of the Mediterannean, and west of the Atlantic.

Then people tend to be happy. Because EUROPE.

finally restored the roman empire and reclaimed the borders. Too bad you cant skip a generation in elective, or i would have 3 empresses in a row too.

Gonna take a break, and after that maybe try the North korea methode on karen

I recently got a -50% voucher for CK2 on steam, so if you are interested or know anyone interested, please tell me here and I'll send it your way.

While I get the hate on eurocentrism as much as the next guy, it is a game named Crusader Kings. The setting is intentionally focused on Europe.

No excuse for their other games, though.

Games called Europa Universalis and Victoria being Eurocentric is surprising?

Announcement of new CK2 DLC. Called Rajas of India. Features 300 new provinces, map extended to India, three new religions.

Can I say that I love Paradox right now. If they can pull this off. Which I honestly doubt.

edit: More seriously though, I'm curious as to how they're going to represent states like the Cholas, with all their screwing around in Southeast Asia and what not. And how they're going to model the spread of Islam into India, which in 867 hadn't quite begun yet.

I dohn't blame PAradox for focusing on Europe in CK 2 (or even in release EU, or Victoria. These are games centered on pretty much European events and penomenons at their heart. But I blame the PAradox fans for being upset whenever Paradox dares to expand the games beyond that rather than go for hyper-detailed representation of every little thing in Europe.

My impression is that India wasn't even remotely feudal before 1100's too. I believe the fall of the Pala empire in the 900s is regarded as the end of Classical Age India.

Anyway, if the map of CK2 was to be expanded, the only logical location to expand it too is India and maybe Japan in a standalone map of sorts. I look forward to seeing Paradox do India and while I agree with others that they should've spent their next few DLC's on improving the depth of the game as well as all the bugs, it is better to do that after India is introduced. Not before, else then we will have a broken half-hearted India added towards the end of CK2's lifespan breaking the game.

Basil the Macedonian refuses to die when there are still so many peoples left to conquer. Dude has been infirm for over a decade now.
