Consul,

We currently have 64 cities and are accumulating culture at 227 points per turn; that's a little more than 3.5 points per city. At this rate it will take us some time to achieve our cultural victory. It looks to me like we're at the point of the game where we've almost achieved our military goals. Would this be an appropriate time to start "pushing" for culture? Specifically, making it a priority to build a library and temple in each city; universities where possible; and using cash to rush culture?

Thanks!

Bertie

Ditto, culture and settlers, so that we can build more cities that can build more culture and settlers, that can build more culture and settlers, repeat....

This should almost go exponentially, the only limits being cash (goes less than exponentially due to corruption) and food (goes exponentially).

EDIT: maybe the consul could keep historic statistics on culture? IIRC, in the external consul's thread it shows our culture has grown by about 2000 to a total of about 7000 in the last TC (12 turns). So we're starting low, but growing fast.
