Cumulative Geography Quiz

Correct Lucky it was France, Corsica to be exact.

Uh, it´s now 1am and I have to think of a question!
Let´s see:

Name the ship that first reached the North Pole! When and what was it?

Only partly geographical, if you don´t like it, I´ll think of another one, tomorrow!
:D

Well, for a ship to reach the northpole......
:enlighten It must be a sub !!

So what was the name of this nuclear submarine??

the USS Nautilus?

Ohhh.... When? 1965?

USS Nautilus, the first nuclear powered sub, is correct. 1958 is correct too! :goodjob:

But it doesn´t neccessary have to be a sub, some 20 years later a Russian Ice Breaker named "Arktika" reached the pole, too!

Next question goes to Plexus (sorry germanos, but you were only partly right).
:D

GENTLEMEN, MY APOLOGIES.

Last time I checked, my answer was not considered correct. And then I took off for a nine-day trip. Just returned. ...
