Cumulative Geography Quiz

Can´t you people ask something LESS country-specific. We have an international community here, not an all New-Zealand or England postership!

Anyway, the highest mountain in New Zealand is Mt. Cook. If I remember it correctly from school it should be something like 3760m. I am not sure whether it has grown or shrunk since I learned that. :crazyeye: Actually it was a few meters higher, like 3764 or such.

There!

We're sorry Lucky - just trying to use this forum to educate people about NZ.

Anway, you are only partly right. The top 10 metres fell of it back in 1991, reducing it to 3754 .

You have a turn.

Like the number of cataracts of the river Nile? And that's not specific to certain countries? You're entitled to your definition of what constitutes a valid Geography question and so are other people.

First prize for stating the obvious! :p

We're waiting for your question Lucky - fire away!

Thanks for trying to educate me!

Here it is:
Name the deepest point on Earth´s surface (including oceans ;))! Where is it located and how deep is it?
:D

The Mariana Trench is only where it is located! :p

I want the name of the exact place!

And the depth in meters pleas, me too lazy to recalculate!
:D

To be even more exact!

The name is Witjas-II (Vityas) Depth, since that Russian science ship measured the depth first there! Acknowledged all over the world, only the Americans insist on Challenger deep!

But that is it, anyway and the depth is 11022m, sometimes you´ll also find 11035m.

The next question goes to sonorakitch, he was first!
:D

Okay, I don't know if this thread is still active, but I will shoot out a question:

What city on the earth claims to be the farthest from any ocean?

~Chris

Urumqi, China.

Well, this one may be easy. Which country has the least population in the world?
