So does this mean for instance, if there is a returning Poland and there is an independent Vienna or Kiev at the same time, it will flip those cities?
How large is the "surrounding" zone and is it limited by the continent system?

Oh, it's just their core (or an extended/modified flip zone if they have one). So this enables them only to flip cities in the area where they could receive them during a normal (periodic) resurrection.

Let's say Rome controls Sparta and Athens is independent. With the previous rules, when Rome collapses a revived Greece had only received Sparta, but not Athens, even though both would've been part of a "normal" resurrection. I've corrected this.

I see, so how about civilizations where some Historical territory would be considered inalienable to the civilization in question in real life,
but is actually treated as Historical in the game mechanics? Will you make exceptions for them? They'll be "extended/modified" flip zones right?
(i.e. China and everything south of the Yangtze, Japan and Hokkaido, etc.?)
For those two in particular, and with the latter, I agree with Chep, I'm not sure why they aren't Cored.

South China is exactly one of those cases I mentioned where the respawn area extends beyond their core (as you might have noticed, every Chinese respawn includes the south).

Hokkaido hasn't received this treatment yet, because Japanese collapses have been rare so far.

Finally some classical wonders nerf. But the Spiral Minaret seems a bit too weak now, maybe give it +10 gold by itself, and it also counts as an Islamic building? Or, make it obsolete earlier, by economics.

By the way, University of Sankore, expires too early, and has little to do with Mali goal. I suggest 2 solutions:

1. University of Sankore gives +25% science by itself, and generate a normal university when owner gets education. (Counts as an early university)

2. Enable tech brokering for owner, other Islamic civs is more likely to trade or gift tech with owner, AI get a tech gifted by every other Islamic civs it has contact with. This could give AI Mali more activity and chance. Mansa Musa the tech-whore!

Another suggest for the Pyramids / the Great Sphynx to make them more unique:

1. The Pyramids: desert tile without floodplains: +1 hammer and commerce (for one city), doesn't obsolete.
2. The Great Sphynx: +25% work rate on desert tiles, hurry unhappiness does not scale with the amount of sacrificed population. Great works? give obelisk an artist slot.

New commit:
- corrected the Egyptian UP description
- Mayan Ball Court now gives +2 happiness and +2 experience for melee and archery units
- Indonesian Orang Laut is now a cheaper strength 4 Privateer that requires Compass and receives +50% against other Privateers
- new Indonesian UP effect: additional gold for every foreign ship in your core
- Thai Ho Trai is now a cheaper library that gives +1 happiness

That is an amazing UP for Indonesia

I like it too. I spontaneously had the idea and immediately implemented it. So much for sleep-deprived modding.

Will 1.13 possibly look into merging Master Map Thread?

1.13 looks like something that should deal with modern era. 3 is just a curvy, modern looking thing.

We... posted on the exact same second.

Please no, though I doubt I needed to ask for it not to happen (seeing as stuff is still being found from Northern Europe changes). I think Leoreth is done with doing any major map changes unless they are small switches.

I think 1.13 is finally going to include the unit roster redesign that has been on the master to-do list since 1.7something. 1.12 was about the internal mechanics so 1.13 will be about the more external mechanics. At least that is how I would do it.

That Indonesian UP looks nice, the UU I'm not sure (will have to try first) ^^
So.. how would you make foreign ships to come to Indonesian water?
Can we have a GM-like naval unit that can conduct trade missions (perhaps in an 0.1-1% of amount the GM will generate) ?

I support this personally because of the awesome map tweak to Indochina, and we need to edit the map to give space for Polynesia as well (and perhaps also adjusted the area for Jurchens and Swahili)

Anyway, I hope that after 1.13 there is no more tiles addition/changes (only resources, to balance) to the game, so I can restart my CNM modmodmod
