Current (SVN) development discussion thread

babylonians are cousins of malakims it seems, ancient lion summoners :D

Yeah, and both live in floodplains (certainly the best terrain for the Malakim).

I think best terrain for malakim is mali (same up :D ), with sahara, and egypt-calabim enemy

New commit should fix the lions.

Leoreth, I was playing the Sengoku mod by the guy who runs Sword of Islam, and I notice that it uses custom icons for several resources. You should check into its icon for tea and wine, they both look a lot better than the current one.
Furthermore, I mean there is a lot of cool mechanics from that mod.
And custom textures.
And leaderheads and civilization colors
etc

Custom textures?

Perhaps I'm using the wrong word. It just uses a lot of non-vanilla graphics.
The Fort mod would also be very helpful in this

On the left, the wine is the grapes
On the right, the tea is the leaf
I think those are a lot smoother and intuitive than the current icons

EDIT: On second thought, I think the leaf would look out of place. Only the wine.
Also, I think the Super Forts mod wouldn't work in this either

I'm quite positive that I've fixed the problem of being unable to raze cities because of the culture spread without reintroducing the old random culture spread bug.

As it turns out the random culture spread was the effect of a bug in the DLL that is apparently there since BtS. This time I'm going to roll my eyes at Firaxis

Hi everyone,

i've been playing this beautiful mod for quite a while, and been reading in this forum ever since. Well, today i encountered something odd:
I was playing as england (600 AD, epic, viceroy if that matters) and everything was fine until i decided to load an autosave after the trading company event (i wanted to see if the mughals would agree to peacefully hand over their cities... they didn't). Suddenly i only could choose the "not our concern" option, the other two were grey. I'll attach the autosave in case it's useful.

edit: oh, and i was playing on revision 580.

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forum, I'm looking into it right now. The game started on revision 580 as well?

Edit: do you still have the save from one turn before?

Yes, i started the game on 580 as well.
I don't have a save from the exact turn before, but another autosave from 4 turns before.
(btw, is there a way to change the settings so that the game will create an autosave every turn?)
